What do you all think of [name_m]Pasquale[/name_m]? It’s been on my mind lately, and I am really loving it.
So I have a few specific questions regarding the name:
What comes to mind with the name?
Is it better as a fn or mn?
Could you give me a few combo ideas to make it fit with my general style?
Also, are there any spelling variations you prefer?
I immediately think of how to pronounce it. I figure it’s a lot like “Pascal”, but that spelling makes me wanna say “pah-squall-ee”. Like a storm squall. It’s a very strange spelling. I’d use it as a middle name so idiots like me don’t mispronounce it
I strongly prefer the spelling [name_m]Pascal[/name_m]. [name_m]Pasquale[/name_m] looks more like pas-quail to me, and it seems more fit for a comic book character than a real child. I like it because it’s unusual but not unheard of due to the author [name_m]Pascal[/name_m]. It seems like a name that would age well, though I’d put it in the middle spot.
@pterodactyl: Your thoughts made me smile:) Thanks for the feedback. [name_m]Pascal[/name_m] simply makes me think chameleon, though that’s not entirely a turnoff.
@inkonherfingers: I am loving the suggestion of [name_m]Soren[/name_m] [name_m]Pasquale[/name_m]! Thank you for your feedback.
My first thought is to pronounce it pas-qual-ay, but I did wonder if I was mispronouncing it. Like other posters commented, [name_m]Pascal[/name_m] may be a more straight-forward variation.
Ha, my first thought was this is my uncle’s name! and also, very, very Italian. Perhaps so Italian it’s hard for others to pull it off. I don’t see why it can’t be a nickname or petname for a boy named [name_m]Pascal[/name_m], which to me is quite more attractive and international? If you really love [name_m]Pasquale[/name_m], it would make a great middle name.
