We are looking for a boy’s name that would fit well with our first son’s name ([name]Victor[/name] [name]David[/name]) - that is English/Spanish friendly - and that sounds good and balances the middle name [name]Frederick[/name] (my father’s first name). So far our short list consists of [name]Ruben[/name], [name]Martin[/name], [name]Daniel[/name] and [name]Ezra[/name]. I am a little nervous about the sudden popularity of [name]Ezra[/name], but it is a beautiful name that sounds great with [name]Frederick[/name] and balances it out ([name]Ezra[/name] is a little more modern and fresh, [name]Frederick[/name] is classic and square/solid. ) Personally I like [name]Ruben[/name] best but my husband can’t get past the sandwich association. We love [name]Martin[/name] but maybe it’s too square and doesn’t provide a good alternative to [name]Frederick[/name]?
Any thoughts and/or new name suggestions would be much appreciated. My husband likes MACHO names and I like more countrified names and we need them to be English/Spanish friendly - it took us the whole 9 months to get to [name]Victor[/name] last time, I would really love to avoid that for the next pregnancy! Thanks in advance -
I really like [name]Ruben[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]!!
[name]Daniel[/name] is too close to [name]David[/name]. It also don’t sound as good with [name]Frederick[/name] as [name]Victor[/name] & [name]David[/name] do.
[name]Martin[/name] also does have the right “ring” with [name]Frederick[/name].
[name]Ezra[/name], again just doesn’t seem right with [name]Frederick[/name]. There is also a danger that [name]Ezra[/name] could turn into a girls name because of the a ending. I know it’s a male name but does the world accept that. Possibly not.
