DH and I are expecting our third child. I’m only a little over 5 weeks right now so no clue on the gender, (I don’t think I’m finding out the gender this time anyways because we already have one of each), but we have a potential boy name picked out so far. First name [name_m]Enzo[/name_m]. Middle names would be [name_m]Lamar[/name_m] [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] after both of our grandfathers’ middle names. Siblings are [name_u]Avery[/name_u] [name_m]Makai[/name_m] (boy) and [name_m]Azria[/name_m] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (girl). So I am looking for open honest opinions for the name [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] [name_m]Lamar[/name_m] [name_m]Franklin[/name_m] for this baby if it’s a boy. All opinions are appreciated, both positive and negative! Thanks! Edited to add: Is it weird that if baby receives the name Enzo I plan on calling him Zoe as a nickname from time to time? I knew a Lorenzo growing up and Zoe was his nickname and I loved it as a boy’s nickname even though it’s technically a female name. Also, does Enzo Lamar Franklin sound good with Avery Makai and Azria Rose?
I love it! [name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Enzo[/name_m]) is also an option, but [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] works on it own.
Thanks! My friend’s ex-boyfriend’s name was [name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m]. I always loved the name but never considered it because I just feel weird using names of people I know/knew for some reason because it makes me think of that person. Also, as weird as it may seem, I know if baby receives this name I will call him the same nickname from time to time that the [name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m] I knew was called, which is [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. For some reason him having that nickname made the name even more awesome to me, (which a lot of people would probably find weird considering [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is a girl’s name but I love it as a boy’s nickname).
I think [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] is super cute, but I don’t think it matches stylistically with your other kids names. If that doesn’t bother you then I say go for it!!!
Also, just curious, when you say you would call him [name_f]Zoe[/name_f], do you pronounce it Zoh (rhymes with doe) or Zoh-ee?
Probably both. “Zoh” when quick yelling at him and “Zoh-ee” when I would be in a “lovey” type of mood. Obviously, when he’d be old enough to decide what he wants to be nicknamed (or if he even wants a nickname at all), that would be his own choice. The [name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m] I knew growing up went by both his full name of “[name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m]” and the nickname “Zoh-ee”.
Out of curiosity, is it the addition of the middle names that make the names not match, or do they not match using just the first names as well? (For reference: [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_m]Azria[/name_m], & [name_m]Enzo[/name_m])
Thx!
I love, love, love [name_m]Enzo[/name_m]. I prefer [name_m]Lorenzo[/name_m] nn [name_m]Enzo[/name_m], but because of your personal association, I get your decision. [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] is short enough, it almost doesn’t need its own nn, but if you do shorten it, I like [name_m]Zo[/name_m]. My experience, though, is that nn’s are just organic. Once the baby arrives, the nn chooses itself.
[name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_m]Azria[/name_m], and [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] sound fantastic together. I love [name_u]Avery[/name_u] on a boy, btw.
I too, love, love, love [name_m]Enzo[/name_m]. Although the longer names are definately really nice, Im not into nicknames, so just [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] for me. I love that they all have vowel names and I think the 3 names sounds fantastic together!
[name_m]Hi[/name_m]
I think of [name_m]Enzo[/name_m] as a very traditional name and your other two children have great but trendier names. It may be because we have a beautiful Italian restaurant here named [name_m]Enzo[/name_m]'s though. I do like it as a stand alone name
I like [name_m]Enzo[/name_m]. I wish that my cousin would let me nn her son that his name is Laur3nz.
I think it works as a full name. It’s handsome, a little bit of bad-boy and just a little exotic.
