Opinions on the name Yefrem

So I really love the Hebrew boys name [name_m]Ephraim[/name_m] but husband wants a Slovak middle. I like [name_m]Efrem[/name_m], but recently found Belorussians pronounce it like [name_m]Yefrem[/name_m] (Yeh-Frehm). We have a Belorussian family we adopted as family to us and it’s to honor their culture. I believe both [name_m]Efrem[/name_m] and [name_m]Yefrem[/name_m] are authentic since both are transliteration into [name_f]English[/name_f] so are different variants. It would be the middle to our future son [name_u]Ariel[/name_u].

I LOVE this name. It’s one of my favorites.

Efrem is gorgeous too. And [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] on a boy :heart_eyes:

I prefer the look of [name_m]Efrem[/name_m], but both are lovely!

I love the name [name_m]Efrem[/name_m]! [name_m]Yefrem[/name_m] is new to me but also great. I think with [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] I prefer [name_m]Yefrem[/name_m] for the flow. Also gotta say, I just LOVE [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] on a boy!!

Both are great! If [name_m]Yefrem[/name_m] feels more like a clear honour to you, it definitely works. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] name!
