I have a 2 year old son named [name_m]Kellen[/name_m]. [name_f]My[/name_f] hubby and I are currently TTC, but we’ve been talking about names for whenever it does happen.
We both love the name [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] and think it sounds good with our son’s name. The only problem is our last name is Huffer. So both the first and last name would start with the same 2 letters.
So, do you think [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] Huffer sounds okay or should we keep looking?
Sorry to highjack lol but kellen is one of the two names we are down to,do you still love it? Is the general response to it good? We were worried about it being masculine enough with the Kell nickname… as far as hudson i like it we considered a J name and our last name starts with a J so i struggled with that as well but think [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] Huffer sounds fine [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] and [name_m]Kellen[/name_m] work really well together
[name_m]Kellen[/name_m] is awesome. I like [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] with it, but [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] Huffer kind of grates on my ears. Have you been considering anything else?
I agree. It’s not the alliteration that bothers me, but the huh-huh beginnings. Alone, however, I do prefer [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] to [name_m]Bryson[/name_m] and [name_u]Paxton[/name_u].
I agree with the previous person the Hu-hu beginnings of both names really kind of bugs me. Which stinks cause [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] really is a great name! I’m not a fan of [name_m]Bryson[/name_m] either, BUT it does so great with your last name! Byson Huffer sounds very nice, and it goes well with [name_m]Kellen[/name_m].
You have my exact style of names,
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u].
[name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_m]KELLEN[/name_m]. Never heard of it. What does it mean?
xx
I’d keep looking. I have a similarly alliterative name, and I hate it–always makes me feel like a cartoon character when I hear it out loud. What were my parents thinking?? [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Cabot[/name_m]? (I’m fond of explorer names!)
I wouldn’t do it, but it all really comes down to how much it bothers you. I think he will get a fair amount of teasing over it but I don’t think it would scar him for life or anything.
Some other suggestions: [name_m]Austin[/name_m], [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_u]Brennan[/name_u], [name_m]Donovan[/name_m], [name_m]Edison[/name_m], [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_m]Jackson[/name_m], [name_m]Landon[/name_m], [name_m]Lincoln[/name_m], [name_u]Merritt[/name_u], [name_u]Rowan[/name_u], [name_u]Sidney[/name_u], [name_u]Spencer[/name_u], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u] Huffler sounds awful, I’m sorry. It’s the double Hu.
[name_m]Kellen[/name_m] is great! It is on-trend. [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] sounds a bit dated.
I think you should keep looking.
It sounds too sing-songy for a grown man’s name. Its the combo of the double Hs and two syllables. If the last name were longer, it wouldn’t be so bad. For example [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] [name_m]Huffington[/name_m]. I say keep looking.
