Opinions on Tiffany and Nadine?

Hello!

So, we are expecting! Still several months to go, but we have a lot of names that we love. Out top choices right now seem to be [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] and [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] (for sister [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]).

[name_m]Just[/name_m] looking for some opinions on bother [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] and [name_f]Nadine[/name_f]: usability, your impressions, concerns, etc…

We don’t need middle names, since those will be honoring.

THANKS SO MUCH!

I like [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] with [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]. [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] sounds very dated to me (1980’s).

[name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] sounds dated to me too but I absolutely love [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] with [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]! I like how they share a subtle [name_m]French[/name_m] theme too. I knew a [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] growing up and I always thought her name was so lovely.

I agree that [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] is a better match with [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] and that [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] is a bit dated (although I still think it’s cute and like the matching double letters with Clarisse). However, the original version of [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] is the beyond gorgeous [name_f]Theophania[/name_f], which feels more currently stylish despite being pretty much completely unknown. (There’s also Theophane if you’d prefer to match the Frenchness of [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f].) You could still use [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Theophania[/name_f]/Theophane, as well as [name_u]Theo[/name_u] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f] if those interest you.

[name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] is dated to the 80s for me too and I’m not at all keen on “[name_f]Tiff[/name_f]”. [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] is a pretty name but for me it is not in the same league as lovely Clarrise. I would love to see [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] paired with;
[name_f]Sabine[/name_f]
[name_f]Sidonie[/name_f]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f]
[name_f]Marcella[/name_f]

I knew a beautiful little [name_f]Nadine[/name_f], so I always associate the name with her. I think it’s a gorgeous name. I agree with other posters that [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] is dated and lacking substance.

[name_f]Nadine[/name_f] is lovely with [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f]. [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] is dated and I honestly have no good associations with the name, and I know a handful of them.

I don’t mind [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] on its own merits but I agree that it’s really dated - to kids now it would definitely be a “mom name”.

This happens to me a lot with [name_m]French[/name_m] names: I like [name_f]Nadine[/name_f]'s [name_m]French[/name_m] pronunciation but I find its English pronunciation really grating and harsh. I do love [name_f]Nadia[/name_f], and I think it would complement [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] really nicely. The earlier suggestion of [name_f]Sabine[/name_f] is great, too.

Both names sound dated to me. Setting that aside, I prefer [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f].

Honestly, both seem super dated to me. I prefer [name_f]Nadine[/name_f], but its dated where I live. [name_f]Nadia[/name_f] would be more in style. But if you are set on using either, use what you love! [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] and [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] sound great together.

Both sound dated to me, but [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] more so than [name_f]Nadine[/name_f]. When I hear [name_f]Tiffany[/name_f] I think of [name_f]Tiffani[/name_f] Thiessen and the 1980s.

I agree with what some of the others have said: [name_f]Nadine[/name_f] & [name_f]Clarisse[/name_f] sounds good!
