My name is [name]Molly[/name] [name]Kaye[/name]. I also know a [name]Molly[/name] [name]Jane[/name] and a [name]Molly[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]. I always felt like my middle name was a “filler” name and not too interesting. [name]Molly[/name] is sometimes a nn for [name]Margaret[/name], if you like more formal names. Other ideas for MN’s:

[name]Molly[/name] [name]Noelle[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]May[/name] - cute!
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Diana[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Gabriella[/name]/[name]Gabrielle[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name]

You are right, it is hard to find a good MN for [name]Molly[/name]! Good luck with your list!
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Kaye[/name]

[name]Madeleine[/name] - gorgeous…definitely in my top ten
[name]Francesca[/name] with the nn [name]Chessie[/name].: very pretty, prefer the nn [name]France[/name].
[name]Charlotte[/name], nickname [name]Lottie[/name].: very classic and cute.
[name]Isabella[/name], though lots of people that I know have named their new babies [name]Isabella[/name]: love this name, despite the popularity.
[name]Bronwen[/name] - I think as a middle name, because I can’t think of any nicknames. : Bronnie is a nn…pretty and uncommon
[name]Molly[/name]- very cute.
[name]Eve[/name]/[name]Evie[/name]: prefer a longer name such as Everleigh/[name]Genevieve[/name] or [name]Evangeline[/name] with those as nn’s.
[name]Lily[/name] - lovely. seems very popular right now though. [name]Lily[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] is my choice
[name]Victoria[/name] - pretty but the name is ruined for me. I knew a [name]Vicky[/name] and she was just plain evil. lovely as a middle name htough.
[name]Lucy[/name] - right now, I would choose [name]Lucy[/name] as not as common.
[name]Emily[/name] - though it is REALLY popular: too popular right now!
[name]Olivia[/name], with the nickname [name]Liv[/name]: love it…this one is on my list [plus the bf approves (:

[name]Hi[/name]!

[name]Madeleine[/name]: I think it’s very pretty, and love this spelling…You may also like [name]Adeline[/name].

[name]Francesca[/name] with the nn [name]Chessie[/name].: I love it!

[name]Charlotte[/name], nickname [name]Lottie[/name].: I love this, too…

[name]Isabella[/name]: It’s beyond popular in the U.S. (#2), so I like some of your others more.

You may also like:

[name]Bronwen[/name]: I think it’s pretty…it may be a stretch, but you could call a [name]Bronwen[/name] “[name]Winnie[/name].”

[name]Molly[/name]: I think it’s a sweet name…

[name]Molly[/name] [name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] ([name]Sophia[/name] is popular, though)
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]

[name]Eve[/name]/[name]Evie[/name]: I love [name]Eve[/name], but [name]Evie[/name] on its own feels cutesy to me.

More sources of [name]Evie[/name]:

[name]Lily[/name]: I think it’s beautiful, but just be aware that it’s also very popular (and for good reason). I think the middles you’ve chosen are pretty with [name]Lily[/name].

I love longer middles with [name]Lily[/name], though, and from your list, I really like [name]Lily[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name] and [name]Lily[/name] [name]Victoria[/name].

[name]Victoria[/name]: I think it’s beautiful, and for what it’s worth, I know of a [name]Victoria[/name] (actually, two, now that I think about it), who are only [name]Victoria[/name], not any of the nicknames.

[name]Lucy[/name]: I really love [name]Lucy[/name]! You may also like [name]Lucia[/name], [name]Luciana[/name], or [name]Lucinda[/name].

While [name]Lily[/name] feels gentle, delicate, and poised, [name]Lucy[/name] feels spunky and cheerful to me, so I think the [name]Lily[/name] VS [name]Lucy[/name] issues depends on what you’re looking for.

[name]Emily[/name]: You may also like [name]Emmeline[/name], [name]Emilia[/name], [name]Amelia[/name], [name]Amelie[/name], or [name]Millie[/name] (nickname for [name]Amelia[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Camilla[/name], [name]Camille[/name]).

[name]Olivia[/name]: Like [name]Isabella[/name], [name]Olivia[/name] is extremely popular, so some of the other names on your list feel fresher to me. I love the name [name]Liv[/name], though! You may also like:

[name]Jane[/name] (I think you listed this…)
[name]May[/name] (I think this was there, too)

Good luck!

[name]Madeleine[/name] – [name]Madeleine[/name] is GORGEOUS. So much prettier than [name]Madeline[/name], in my opinion; personally, I really dislike the nickname [name]Maddie[/name].
[name]Francesca[/name] with the nn [name]Chessie[/name] – [name]Francesca[/name] with the nickname [name]Chessie[/name] is darling! I also like Checka, Chesca, Cheshire, and others. (:
[name]Charlotte[/name], nickname [name]Lottie[/name] – I’m afraid that [name]Charlotte[/name]'s too popular for me, despite it’s nice quality. [name]Lottie[/name]'s cute.
[name]Isabella[/name] – Yes, [name]Isabella[/name]'s too popular for me. What about [name]Isadora[/name], [name]Isabeau[/name], etc?
[name]Bronwen[/name] – [name]Bronwen[/name] is very nice. (:
[name]Molly[/name] – [name]Molly[/name]'s nice; I’ve always thought of it as sweet, but the meaning of ‘bitter’ has given it a new edge to me. (:
[name]Eve[/name]/[name]Evie[/name]/[name]Evelina[/name] – I’m afraid I don’t like any of those variations; but that’s just me.
[name]Lily[/name] – [name]Lily[/name] is pretty, which is probably why it’s so popular. [name]Lily[/name] [name]Florence[/name] is actually rather nice! But, I prefer [name]Liliane[/name] (French version of [name]Lilian[/name]) or [name]Lilith[/name]. [name]Lilith[/name] is my favorite.
[name]Victoria[/name] – I think [name]Victoria[/name] is very pretty, but nicknames like [name]Vicki[/name]/[name]Vicky[/name] and [name]Tori[/name]/[name]Tory[/name] are unappealing to me.
[name]Lucy[/name] – [name]Lucy[/name]'s darling, and super sweet. I think [name]Lucy[/name]'s almost too youthful, but it’s a guilty pleasure for me. (;
[name]Emily[/name] – At least [name]Emily[/name]'s not as popular as [name]Emma[/name] (I have a bad connection with an [name]Emma[/name]). What about [name]Emilie[/name]/[name]Amelie[/name]?
[name]Olivia[/name], with the nickname [name]Liv[/name] – [name]Olivia[/name] is pretty; I think I find [name]Olive[/name] nicer in it’s quirkiness.
But [name]Pearl[/name] is so gorgeous! (: It makes me think of the sweetest sea pearl with a beautiful pink tint to it. Anyhow, here’s some possible combos:

[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
[name]Zenobia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]/ [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Zenobia[/name]
[name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Madeleine[/name] [name]Musetta[/name]
[name]Francesca[/name] [name]Mariposa[/name]
[name]Isabella[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
[name]Isadora[/name] [name]Lucy[/name]/ [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Isadora[/name]
[name]Lily[/name] [name]Primrose[/name] (too much, maybe?)
[name]Liliane[/name] [name]Avril[/name]
[name]Lilith[/name] [name]Macy[/name] (I usually don’t like [name]Macy[/name], however.)
[name]Victoria[/name] [name]Jane[/name]/ [name]Jane[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Rosalind[/name]
[name]Emily[/name] [name]Mariposa[/name]
[name]Emilie[/name] [name]Lucille[/name]
[name]Emilie[/name] [name]Theodosia[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Angelique[/name]

[name]Hope[/name] I could help some. (:

[quote=“pollyanna”][name]Hi[/name], everyone. I would love some opinions on my current favourites as I cannot decide at all and really need to narrow it down! My ‘naming style’ as such is very confused as I love both classics like [name]Madeleine[/name] and [name]Charlotte[/name] but favourites are also [name]Molly[/name], [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Evie[/name] that are more nickname-y. Would this be a problem for future siblings? For example, would you think siblings [name]Molly[/name] and [name]Francesca[/name] or [name]Evie[/name] and [name]Madeleine[/name] sound okay?

  • I would go in the formal direction and pick a name that has a nickname.

[name]Madeleine[/name] - love it as a full name, but don’t mind the nickname [name]Maddie[/name] - You like the nn [name]Maddie[/name] or don’t like it? I’m confused.
[name]Francesca[/name] with the nn [name]Chessie[/name]. - so cute!
[name]Charlotte[/name], nickname [name]Lottie[/name]. - cute, but I personally wouldn’t choose [name]Charlotte[/name].
[name]Isabella[/name], though lots of people that I know have named their new babies [name]Isabella[/name]. - Yeah, it’s too common.
[name]Bronwen[/name] - I think as a middle name, because I can’t think of any nicknames. - There’s always [name]Winnie[/name].
[name]Molly[/name]- I love this, but can’t think of any middle names that balance out the cuteness of [name]Molly[/name].
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Brynn[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Jacqueline[/name]
[name]Molly[/name] [name]Kate[/name]

[name]Molly[/name] is a nn for [name]Mary[/name]:

[name]Mary[/name] [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Mary[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]

[name]Molly[/name] could also be a nn for [name]Marian[/name] or [name]Rosemary[/name] or other forms of [name]Mary[/name].

[name]Eve[/name]/[name]Evie[/name]… I also quite like [name]Evelina[/name]. - I love [name]Evelyn[/name] nn [name]Evie[/name].
[name]Lily[/name] - Have loved this since I was a little girl, what do you think of [name]Lily[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] or [name]Lily[/name] [name]Florence[/name]? - so pretty.
[name]Victoria[/name] - this is another that may have to go in the middle name spot as can’t get round the nickname issue. - yeah.
[name]Lucy[/name] - [name]Love[/name] [name]Lucy[/name], but can’t decide between [name]Lily[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name] as they’re too close for siblings! Which one do you like the most? I love [name]Lucinda[/name] nn [name]Lucy[/name]. also [name]Lucille[/name].
[name]Emily[/name] - though it is REALLY popular - too popular.
[name]Olivia[/name], with the nickname [name]Liv[/name] - I love it, but my daughter is tired of it. It is so popular.
Also I used to love [name]Pearl[/name], until hubby decided that it sounded ‘like pearl barley…’ much to my annoyance! For middle names I have no idea but [name]May[/name], [name]Jane[/name] and [name]Elsie[/name] are family names that I would love to use.

Thanks, everyone! - You are welcome!

thank you for the replies, everyone
I think we are going to go with [name]Lucy[/name] or [name]Molly[/name]. M-i-l is a [name]Frances[/name] and we think it would cause problems to only honour one grandma through [name]Francesca[/name] (otherwise that would have been our choice).
I’ll post a poll at the top of this post so not to clog up the board with lots of posts!
So far we like [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Molly[/name] [name]Victoria[/name], [name]Molly[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name], [name]Molly[/name] [name]Francesca[/name]. We were also thinking of 2 middle names in order to incoporate family names… WDYT?
thankyou  x

I didn’t vote because none of the combos seemed quite right, though I do love a lot of the names you are considering. [name]Molly[/name] is adorable, but between [name]Molly[/name] and [name]Lucy[/name], I would have to go with [name]Lucy[/name]. It’s a wonderful name. I actually don’t see the conflict, though, between your love of a nicknamey name like [name]Lucy[/name] and your love of vintage or classic names; to me, the obvious solution is to use a longer version of the name and have the shortened form as a nn. Given the types of names you like, I think [name]Lucinda[/name] would be perfect for you!
I don’t love [name]Olivia[/name] or Madeliene in the middle, though, and much prefer the middles you have with [name]Molly[/name] in the poll.

My vote would be for
[name]Lucinda[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]May[/name] (nn [name]Lucy[/name])

I also think that [name]Lucinda[/name] and [name]Francesca[/name] would make a fabulous sib-set. This might be going too far ahead, but how do you like [name]Lucinda[/name] Charlotee [name]May[/name] and [name]Francesca[/name] [name]Evelyn[/name] [name]Jane[/name] ([name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Franny[/name] or [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Evie[/name]).

My name was almost [name]Molly[/name] (my grandpa’s first choice) but my mom went with [name]Grace[/name]! I’ve alway’s loved [name]Molly[/name]. Good luck!

I think that [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Molly[/name] would make great siblings so keep both on your list but for baby number one I would go with

[name]Lucy[/name] [name]Olivia[/name]

I agree with [name]Rollo[/name], [name]Lucy[/name] and [name]Molly[/name] would make an adorable sibset.

I voted for [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Olivia[/name] [name]Mae[/name] and [name]Molly[/name] [name]Francesca[/name]

Thank you, we’re going to go with [name]Lucy[/name] [name]Madeleine[/name]. When saying some of the choices with two middle names out loud, we got a bit tounge-tied!
