Opinions please

I have a few names that I love but am not sure if they’re too out there/trendy/ made
Up sounding etc. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think these names are usable or should I just keep them as gps?

[name_m]Beckett[/name_m]
[name_m]Abel[/name_m]
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]
[name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m]
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_m]Luka[/name_m]
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m]
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]
[name_m]Fletcher[/name_m]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u]

I really like [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_u]Kai[/name_u], [name_u]August[/name_u] (as a middle name, [name_u]August[/name_u] honors family), [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] (as a middle name), [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m], and [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. My favorites being [name_u]Kai[/name_u], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m], and [name_u]Finn[/name_u].

My favorites: [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_m]Gideon[/name_m], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m].

[name_m]Beckett[/name_m]-- like it. Great literary cred. Might be a little trendy but it’s not anywhere near top 100.
[name_m]Abel[/name_m]- not my style
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]- strikes me as being a better nn than a full name (trying to picture a 40 y/o [name_u]Kai[/name_u] applying for a new job).
[name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m]- definitely biblical, but not terrible (this is, surprisingly, the most popular name on your list).
[name_u]August[/name_u]- I think [name_u]August[/name_u]/[name_m]Augustine[/name_m]/[name_m]Augusten[/name_m] have had a recent uptick in popularity, but I like the name and love [name_u]Gus[/name_u] as a nn.
[name_m]Luka[/name_m]- not keen on this. maybe it’s the spelling or absence of the “s”?
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]- “trendy” only in nameberry terms. I don’t think you need to worry about your son having another Gideons in his preschool class.
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m]- I really don’t see this as being or becoming too popular.
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]- lovely. There’s a ton of Celtic love going on, but I don’t know if people just toss these names around or actually name their children [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m].
[name_m]Fletcher[/name_m]- see [name_m]Gideon[/name_m]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u]- super trendy and overrepresented in terms of popularity on this site (vs. the real world). In the real world, I think this name peaks just ahead of [name_m]Beckett[/name_m]/[name_u]August[/name_u]/[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]/[name_m]Fletcher[/name_m] territory.

Aside from [name_m]Forrest[/name_m], I know little boys with all of these names! They all suit them very well. It did take me a little while to get used to [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] but I mostly just think it isn’t my style. To me, [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] has a little ways to go before getting over the “Gump” association.

[name_f]Love[/name_f] your list! [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] & [name_u]August[/name_u] are on mine, as well

Whaaaat? None of those are made-up, don’t fret
I think they’re all usable. The only ones that stand out to me as potentially hard to live with would be [name_m]Abel[/name_m] (“Hey [name_m]Abel[/name_m], where’s [name_m]Cain[/name_m]?” which is not a big deal, but so many people will think they’re hilarious with the one, I’m sure it’ll get annoying), and [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] (“Run [name_m]Forrest[/name_m], Run” goes without saying. It’ll happen… also not the end of the world, though).

My favourites are: [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] (I love this ([name_m]Ezequiel[/name_m]) in Spanish, eh-seh-keel), [name_u]August[/name_u] (so handsome!), and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m].

[name_m]Beckett[/name_m]–>[name_f]Love[/name_f]
[name_m]Abel[/name_m]–>Eh
[name_u]Kai[/name_u]–>Too Trendy
[name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m]–>It’s ok, [name_m]Zeke[/name_m] is a cool NN
[name_u]August[/name_u]–>Like
[name_m]Luka[/name_m]–>[name_f]Love[/name_f], but may sound too feminine to some
[name_m]Gideon[/name_m]–>[name_f]Love[/name_f]
[name_m]Forrest[/name_m]–>Like
[name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]–>Eh, a bit trendy
[name_m]Fletcher[/name_m]–>Cute!
[name_u]Finn[/name_u]–>Like it, but it’s SUPER trendy

I think they are all usable.

I have a cousin called [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m]. He’s seven. So it’s definitely been used at least once

I think all of your names are usable, none of them are “made up” in the slightest. But I personally would not go for [name_m]Abel[/name_m], [name_u]Kai[/name_u] or [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m].

They’re all 100% usable. [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m], [name_u]Kai[/name_u], [name_m]Fletcher[/name_m], and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] do feel trendy to me though. [name_m]Abel[/name_m], [name_m]Gideon[/name_m], [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m], and [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] are my favorites.

All of those names are useable! I would not label any of them as too out-there, trendy or made up sounding!

[name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m], [name_u]August[/name_u], [name_m]Forrest[/name_m] and [name_u]Finn[/name_u] are my favourites from your list.

[name_u]Finn[/name_u], [name_m]Abel[/name_m] and [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] are my favourites.

The only [name_u]Kai[/name_u] I know is a 41y/o man- he is from Finland. So I actually have trouble seeing this on a little boy  I really like the name though.

I think all of these names are usable! Most aren’t even trendy (tho some may be on trend), and none are made up. My favorites are [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] and [name_u]August[/name_u].

I think all of them are actually quite usable, without being too trendy either. [name_m]Beckett[/name_m] would probably come closest on the trend scale, followed by [name_m]Luka[/name_m] or [name_u]Finn[/name_u]; and [name_m]Ezekiel[/name_m] is my least favorite (I don’t know why). I don’t like [name_m]Abel[/name_m] because of the word, but I still think it’s usable. [name_m]Gideon[/name_m], [name_u]Kai[/name_u] and [name_u]August[/name_u] are my favorites : )

I agree that all of your names are usable. [name_m]Abel[/name_m], [name_u]August[/name_u] and [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] are on my own lists!

I think they’re all useable. My favorites are [name_m]Beckett[/name_m], [name_u]August[/name_u], and [name_u]Finn[/name_u]. Those don’t feel GP or made-up to me at all. But in the end, go with what you feel comfortable using.
