Hey, Berries!

I’m back again to subject you to another boring post explaining my current name dilema!

Well, I suppose it isn’t exactly a dilema… I am just unsure as to which names I actually love. I have a pretty long list, and I starred the ones I think I am leaning towards, but I would love your opinions on all of them if you don’t mind.

[name]Susannah[/name] ([name]Sosie[/name]) *
[name]Felicity[/name] (Fliss) *
[name]Isabel[/name] ([name]Bell[/name])
[name]Maja[/name] ([name]May[/name]-uh)
[name]Adelaide[/name] ([name]Addie[/name])
[name]Francesca[/name] ([name]Frankie[/name] or [name]Francie[/name])
[name]Briony[/name] ([name]Bree[/name]-uhn-ee)

Sorry for the length… I really do apologize! I tried to shorten it, but you know… [name]Just[/name] so hard!

Bounce

Opinions, anyone?

[name]Susannah[/name] ([name]Sosie[/name]): I really like [name]Susannah[/name], and [name]Sosie[/name] is a cute nickname (though I prefer [name]Annie[/name], [name]Sanna[/name], or [name]Sukie[/name]).

[name]Felicity[/name] (Fliss): [name]Felicity[/name] is a fine name that I’ve just never been personally fond of.

[name]Isabel[/name] ([name]Bell[/name]): Very pretty, but too popular for me.

[name]Grace[/name]: Same as [name]Isabel[/name]. I prefer [name]Isabel[/name], actually.

[name]Emmeline[/name]: Are you pronouncing it -leen, or -line?

[name]Evelyn[/name]: Same as [name]Felicity[/name]. I like [name]Eve[/name], [name]Eva[/name], and [name]Evelina[/name], though.

[name]Poppy[/name]: This is way too much of a nickname for me. It also sounds like what someone would call their grandfather. It would make a great nickname or middle name, though.

[name]Skye[/name]: Not very name-like, also trendy.

[name]Maja[/name] ([name]May[/name]-uh): I like this a lot, but I can’t seem to make my head stop pronouncing it ‘maj-a’ at first. What about [name]Maia[/name]? I like this version ([name]Maja[/name]) better than [name]Maya[/name], though.

[name]Tess[/name]: Also very nicknamey. [name]Tessa[/name] is a little better, but [name]Theresa[/name] nn [name]Tess[/name] would be great.

[name]Adelaide[/name] ([name]Addie[/name]): Another perfectly nice name that isn’t really my favorite. It reminds me of lemonade-- silly, I know.

[name]Ruby[/name]: I’ve never liked this.

[name]Freya[/name]: Nice, not my absolute favorite.

[name]Francesca[/name] ([name]Frankie[/name] or [name]Francie[/name]): I love [name]Francesca[/name]! I also love [name]Frances[/name].

[name]Violet[/name]: I love [name]Violet[/name], but it’s trendy.

[name]Penelope[/name]: Yet another nice name that just isn’t my style. I love the nicknames, though-- [name]Poppy[/name], [name]Nell[/name], [name]Elle[/name], [name]Nellie[/name], etc.

[name]Thea[/name]: I much prefer [name]Althea[/name] or [name]Anthea[/name].

[name]Briony[/name] ([name]Bree[/name]-uhn-ee): I’ve never heard the bree-uh-nee pronunciation, only BRY-uh-nee…

[name]Luna[/name]: Very cute; I know a little [name]Luna[/name].

[name]Adelia[/name]: I much prefer [name]Adele[/name], [name]Adela[/name], [name]Delia[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name], and [name]Odilia[/name].

Your list is very nice overall. My favorites are [name]Susannah[/name], [name]Francesca[/name], and [name]Violet[/name]. You might also like:

Great names!

[name]Susannah[/name] ([name]Sosie[/name]): I love this, especially the nickname [name]Sosie[/name].

[name]Felicity[/name] (Fliss): I think my youngest sister had a doll named [name]Felicity[/name] (not sure though) and I’ve never really been a fan of this name. Well, I like it, but I’d never use it.

[name]Isabel[/name] ([name]Bell[/name]): Beautiful, but soooo overused today. :frowning:

[name]Grace[/name]: Perfect name. Sucks that it’s such a common middle name.

[name]Emmeline[/name]: Definitely prefer this over [name]Emily[/name].

[name]Evelyn[/name]: My sister’s name! She goes by [name]Evie[/name] even though we pronounce [name]Evelyn[/name] as “EH-va-lyn.” I’ve always loved this name and I’m so glad it’s making a comeback!

[name]Poppy[/name]: I wish I were bold enough to use this on a daughter but I can’t bring myself to that. I love it.

[name]Skye[/name]: Bad associations with this name personally but I guess it’s alright. I think I prefer [name]Skylar[/name] or [name]Skyler[/name] though.

[name]Maja[/name] ([name]May[/name]-uh): Never heard it before. It sounds nice though.

[name]Tess[/name]: I’ve loved this name ever since I read [name]Tess[/name] of the d’Urbervilles. It’s on the top of our list if our baby is a girl.

[name]Adelaide[/name] ([name]Addie[/name]): This is on our list too. Much nicer than [name]Addison[/name] for a girl. I love the nickname [name]Addie[/name]!

[name]Ruby[/name]: I’ve never been a fan of this name but it’s not bad.

[name]Freya[/name]: This is my sister’s daughter’s name. I think it’s pretty but nothing special (probably because it’s so common in the UK where half my family lives).

[name]Francesca[/name] ([name]Frankie[/name] or [name]Francie[/name]): I’m biased against this name because I was teased mercilessly by this kid in high school whose girlfriend’s name was [name]Francesca[/name] ("[name]Frankie[/name]"). LOL.

[name]Violet[/name]: One of my favorite names! It’s on our list.

[name]Penelope[/name]: My brother’s daughter’s name. I’d use it if it weren’t for that. They call her [name]Nellie[/name], which I love.

[name]Thea[/name]: Another on our list! We like it pronounced “[name]Tay[/name]-uh” though.

[name]Briony[/name] ([name]Bree[/name]-uhn-ee): I love it, but I’d never use it. I’m not sure why.

[name]Luna[/name]: Same as above. I’ll probably always associate it with the book “[name]Luna[/name]” about a transgendered girl. Also it reminds me too much of the word lunatic, lol.

[name]Adelia[/name]: I prefer [name]Cordelia[/name] to get to the nickname [name]Delia[/name] (which I adore). But this is a nice name too!
