Needing a final name to put in my signature for the girls! I’ve narrowed it down from my last post, and added in one.

[name_f]Octavia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]

I’m leaning more towards [name_f]Alethea[/name_f], but I have a big issue with choosing ‘unusual’ names, because I’m terrified of others shooting down the names I love and making them unusable for me (that is why [name_f]Agatha[/name_f], [name_f]Millicent[/name_f] and [name_f]Atalanta[/name_f] have stopped appearing in my lists). I know [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] & [name_f]Esther[/name_f] are classics, and I do love them, but I just don’t know if they suit my style as much as I’d like them too. :confused: What do you all think? Should I ignore what others think and go for [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] or just ignore it?

If I was going off your other names I’d go with [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] though I do really like [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] and [name_f]Octavia[/name_f].

I’d go with [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] if you really love it!:slight_smile:

Thank you :slight_smile: I love [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], but I think it’s just too popular for me. [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] brings [name_m]Louis[/name_m] [name_m]Tomlinson[/name_m] to mind (which doesn’t bother me too much, I do love him, but not what I want a girl’s name to remind me of haha). [name_f]Esther[/name_f]'s one I really like, but, my family’s very opinionated, and my mum, sister&i do talk about names quite a bit, [name_f]Esther[/name_f]'s always been shot down. [name_f]Alethea[/name_f]'s the name of my sister’s friend, and that’s where I first heard it. No negative opinions on it yet, but, Mama [name_m]Bear[/name_m] (aka my mum) hasn’t heard me mention it yet.

I’d try it on with your mum then but even if she doesn’t like it you can still go with it.

Screw the haters, dude. [name_f]Alethea[/name_f] is fantastic and reminds me of the (god help me with this spelling) alethiometer in The [name_u]Golden[/name_u] Compass, which is symbolic of truth and innocence.
