Opinions

Simply looking for opinions on the names in my signature. On individual names, sibsets, rearranged versions, and the like. I know there a few flaws in syllables, runnings and pairs, so I’m trying to clear it up.

Note: Ester is spelled without the “H” because of namesake reasons. And Mae isn’t spelled May because it doesn’t make me feel obligated to only use it if she’s born in the month of May.
Thank you for your input.

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Ester[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]: I like the name [name_f]Esther[/name_f] (spelt like this), and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is a bit boring in my opinion. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is also very boring. But the combo sounds good together.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]: I dont like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]; its soooo popular. [name_f]Nora[/name_f] is a cute nickname for [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f], but not just on its own. And I dont like [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]. The combo could chunky
[name_u]Holland[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]: I like [name_u]Holland[/name_u], its a GP name for me. I like [name_u]Winter[/name_u], also, but also, a GP name. But [name_u]Lee[/name_u] just makes me dislike this combo. It sounds like just one name to me
[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_f]Clara[/name_f] Avlyn: I dont like this one at all. [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] is a boys name and it SHOULD STAY A BOYS NAME! [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is okay, but it reminds me of a cow. And Avlyn is not a name… I strongly dislike -lyn names if they’re not real names.
[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f]/[name_f]Mae[/name_f]: I like [name_f]Helena[/name_f]. I think its a cute alternative to [name_f]Helen[/name_f]. And I adore [name_f]Alice[/name_f] (as you may of noticed). And [name_f]Maud[/name_f]/[name_f]Mae[/name_f] are okay. I would prefer [name_f]Mae[/name_f] spelt like [name_f]May[/name_f].

[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]: Its a mouthful. I dont like [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. I adore [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] and I dont like [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]
[name_m]Henrik[/name_m] [name_m]Fabian[/name_m] Quinnon: I prefer [name_m]Henry[/name_m], I knew a [name_m]German[/name_m] guy named [name_m]Fabian[/name_m] and he was a good guy, but I can only see a guy named [name_m]Fabian[/name_m] with blonde hair and brown eyes with a [name_m]German[/name_m] accent. Quinnon, again doesnt sound like a real name…
[name_m]Hansen[/name_m] [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]: [name_m]HanSEN[/name_m] [name_m]CECil[/name_m] run in together, which I dont like. But I really like [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m].
[name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] [name_f]Dagmar[/name_f]: [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] would be a fantastic name. But then you went and put [name_f]Dagmar[/name_f] in and [name_f]Dagmar[/name_f] doesnt look or sound like a real name. So that throws that whole name off for me.

I want to give you advice; two middle names rarely sound well together…

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Ester[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]: I like the name [name_f]Esther[/name_f] (spelt like this), and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is a bit boring in my opinion. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is also very boring. But the combo sounds good together.

I want to give you advice; two middle names rarely sound well together…

[name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Ester[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]: I knew a horrible [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] in my youth so the name doesn’t have a good image in my mind. I prefer [name_f]Esther[/name_f] (this spelling) or [name_f]Hester[/name_f]. [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is a filler mn. However, I think the combo flows well.

[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Nora[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]: I like all of the names in various degrees but because they’re all two syllables, the flow isn’t ideal in this combo.

[name_u]Holland[/name_u] [name_u]Winter[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]: Unless a country is of special significance to the parents, I’m not a fan of place names in general. The first two names are too descriptive (a Dutch winter) and [name_u]Lee[/name_u] is bland for a mn.

[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_f]Clara[/name_f] Avlyn: [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is the only name I love. I don’t care for the “boys names on girls” trend and Avlyn is a mess.

[name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f]/[name_f]Mae[/name_f]: I love all of the names in this combo. To break up the straight line of the combo, I think [name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] (this spelling) would look better written out on the page.

[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] [name_m]Gideon[/name_m] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]: There are way too many hard “d” sounds in this combo. I do love all of the names but together they’re too clunky.

[name_m]Henrik[/name_m] [name_m]Fabian[/name_m] Quinnon: The first two names are fine but I’m not liking the double “n” ending names of [name_m]Fabian[/name_m] and Quinnon.

[name_m]Hansen[/name_m] [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m]: I like the mn’s of [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m] but [name_m]Hansen[/name_m] isn’t that great. It may be misheard as “handsome”. [name_m]Hansen[/name_m] seems like the odd one compared to the classic first names of [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], [name_m]Henrik[/name_m] and [name_m]Charles[/name_m].

[name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] [name_f]Dagmar[/name_f]: [name_m]Charles[/name_m] [name_m]Edwin[/name_m] is fine but [name_f]Dagmar[/name_f] is a girls name to me.

Thank you for your input. [name_f]Ester[/name_f], [name_m]Henrik[/name_m] and [name_f]Dagmar[/name_f] are Danish names/spellings and [name_f]Ester[/name_f] is a name sake (that’s why there’s no H). Avlyn and Quinnon may possibly be made up, though I’m not sure. I have met people with these names, and liked them when I heard them. I’ve only ever met one [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], so it may just not be as popular where I am. [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] feels too feminine to me for it to be a boys name. I like [name_f]May[/name_f] too, but the other spelling doesn’t make me feel obligated to use it only if she is born in [name_f]May[/name_f]. I’ve been having the same problem with [name_m]Hansen[/name_m] [name_m]Cecil[/name_m], but can’t find anything else that I like with [name_m]Hansen[/name_m]. Thank you for the advice, but two middle names is a very big tradition in my family.

For the girls, I like [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] [name_f]Ester[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] and [name_f]Helena[/name_f] [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Maud[/name_f].

From the boys list I like [name_m]Hansen[/name_m] [name_m]Cecil[/name_m] [name_m]Vaughn[/name_m].
