[name_f]Oriana[/name_f] (or-ee-AH-na) could be another similar feminine alternative to [name_m]Orion[/name_m]

No, it doesn’t sound made up. It sounds rather good. In the beginning, people’s names were made up anyway, so I don’t see why anyone should be concerned about it. You might have the first Oriona, but I bet they’ll be more in the future!

[name_f][/name_f]I do think it’s likely it would get mistaken for [name_f]Oriana[/name_f], but I think it’s equally as beautiful a name. The OH-na sound is very underrated, I wish it was more appreciated!
I think with this pronunciation it doesn’t feel like a feminisation of [name_m]Orion[/name_m], at least not in an English-speaking context? It feels like an alternate spelling of [name_f]Ariana[/name_f] and [name_f]Oriana[/name_f]. I think it’s quite pretty, but I do like those 2 other names more! To make it resemble [name_m]Orion[/name_m] more in [name_f]English[/name_f] I’d do o-RYE-o-nah.

Oriona is interesting, it feels like [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] meets [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]. [name_f][/name_f] Honestly, I do prefer [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] myself; I initially misread it as a different spelling of [name_f]Oriana[/name_f], since I’ve known Arionnas who say their name like [name_f]Ariana[/name_f]. [name_f][/name_f] I do know a girl [name_m]Orion[/name_m], although I’m not sure I would recommend that myself, it does work. [name_f][/name_f] I like the suggestion of [name_f]Oriana[/name_f] as a feminine option for [name_m]Orion[/name_m], or even Orielle/Oriole?

Oriona is intriguing [name_f][/name_f]- I like the strong OH- sound. I think it could work as a feminization of [name_m]Orion[/name_m], especially visually, but I’m not sure that would be my first assumption if I saw it [name_f][/name_f]- if that matters?
Definitely visual a Feminine [name_m]Orion[/name_m].
[name_f][/name_f]I also see other ways it could come about such as a smoosh of [name_f]Orianna[/name_f] & [name_f]Oona[/name_f]. I think I see [name_m]Orion[/name_m] more so because [name_m]Orion[/name_m] is a top guilty pleasure name for me (there’s a shopping centre calles this that is well known in a radius of about 2 drive).
