Osian - thoughts please :)

Hello,

We are Welsh and want to honour our heritage with a welsh boys’ name. We live in [name_f]England[/name_f] and realise [name_m]Osian[/name_m] is not a common name but really like it.
[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think people will struggle with the pronunciation? Or is it well known?

Thank you x

I’m [name_f]English[/name_f] too, and really like [name_m]Osian[/name_m]! I think pronunciation is fairly intuitive, or at least easy to remember once explained.

I don’t know how well known it is outside [name_m]Wales[/name_m], so you probably would have to accept a certain level of confusion and mispronunciation.

It’s such a lovely name! It’s uncommon, but still familiar!

I have never heard that name in US & would not know how to pronounce… but not sure that matters

[name_m]Osian[/name_m] is brilliant. I think people would get used to the pronunciation
