We love [name]Otto[/name] as a brother for our son [name]Rhett[/name]. What are your feelings about the name [name]Otto[/name] and also does it work with brother [name]Rhett[/name]?
Girls are a little trickier. We have [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name], and [name]Clementine[/name]. Who could their sister be? We like-
[name]Otto[/name] and [name]Rhett[/name] is perfect!
I like [name]Rhett[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name], [name]Rhett[/name] and [name]Agatha[/name], [name]Rhett[/name] and [name]Lucille[/name] and [name]Rhett[/name] and [name]Verity[/name].
I love [name]Otto[/name]! And although I don’t initially feel like [name]Rhett[/name] and [name]Otto[/name] are the same style of name… they do go together very well!
Although I really love a lot of old lady chic names, I’m still not warmed up to [name]Agatha[/name] yet. Of your choices, I’m loving [name]Florence[/name] or [name]Lucille[/name] to go with [name]Rhett[/name].
I think [name]Otto[/name] could go very nicely with [name]Rhett[/name], and like both [name]Florence[/name] and [name]Agatha[/name] with your daughters.
[name]Love[/name] [name]Otto[/name] and it goes great with [name]Rhett[/name]. My favorite girl names for your list would be [name]Azalea[/name], [name]Florence[/name], & [name]Lucille[/name]. [name]Florence[/name] though is my favorite and goes perfect with your daughters names.
I think [name]Otto[/name] would be a great match to [name]Rhett[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name], and [name]Clementine[/name].
I think for girls I would opt for [name]Lucille[/name]. It has more of the classy vintage strong feminine vibe than the other choices. [name]Verity[/name] would be my second choice but its a word name and it would irk me that none of your other children have word names. (personal preference of course). Third choice would be [name]Florence[/name].
Yes, I definately think [name]Otto[/name] would be perfect with [name]Rhett[/name]! For a little girl I love [name]Azalea[/name] and [name]Florence[/name]. [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name], and [name]Clementine[/name] are also pretty names. I am NOT a fan of [name]Agatha[/name]. I just can’t imagine a little girl with that name.
I don’t care for [name]Otto[/name] with [name]Rhett[/name]. [name]Otto[/name] is so [name]German[/name] and [name]Rhett[/name] is so English. They’re too stark a contrast together for me.
I do think [name]Agatha[/name] and [name]Otto[/name] work great together because of their gruffness (I say this with love, because I adore [name]Agatha[/name]). [name]Agatha[/name] and [name]Rhett[/name] seem literary for me, so I like that a lot. I guess the 3 of them ([name]Rhett[/name], [name]Agatha[/name] and [name]Otto[/name]) would work pretty spectacularly, but I’m not sure about the two boy names together.
[name]Rhett[/name] and [name]Verity[/name] are AWESOME together! [name]Both[/name] very unexpected, and I think [name]Verity[/name] is such a great name.
I love the name [name]Otto[/name] but it screams [name]GERMAN[/name] to me (not a bad thing). I think [name]Rhett[/name] and Ottolie go a little bit better together. A speck lighter. I like the double T in both names and think it would be delicious to keep it up. I like [name]Rhett[/name] and [name]Agatha[/name] together.
My favorite of your girl ideas is [name]Agatha[/name]. It sounds so cute with your others!
I also think that the name [name]Pearl[/name] would sound really cute with your sibset.
Im sorry, but I think [name]Otto[/name] is TERRIBLE with [name]Rhett[/name]. They have completely different feels. [name]Otto[/name] is very [name]German[/name] where your other names are not. I love your girls’ names. I think [name]Lucy[/name] (not [name]Lucille[/name]) would be great with those!
Absolutely agree with pp that [name]Otto[/name] positively screams [name]German[/name] and doesn’t go with the other names at all. The sound and rhythm of the name alone, sure, but you have to consider name origins, [name]IMO[/name]. Especially glaringly obvious ones like with this name.
As for the girl names, my thoughts:
[name]Agatha[/name]: I much prefer [name]Agnes[/name]. [name]Nessie[/name] = cutest nickname ever.
[name]Azalea[/name]: Cool name, but doesn’t seem vintage enough like your other girls. Has a more exotic feel to me.
[name]Florence[/name]: Not a fan of [name]Flo[/name].
[name]Lucille[/name]: Probably my favorite of this list. Goes very well with the other names.
[name]Verity[/name]: Harsh and pretentious.
Your kid’s names are really cute and I love the theme. [name]Hope[/name] you find a good fit for your new little one.
I think [name]Florence[/name] is simply too close a match for your girls. [name]Verity[/name] strikes all the right notes-- lovely, formal, vintage, unexpected, crisp and English, but with a very different sound and feel from the others. [name]Verity[/name] is the all-around winner for me.
I will be another dissenting voice and say no to [name]Otto[/name]. [name]Rhett[/name] is 100% dashing scoundrel-y charm. It’s swashbuckling, romantic and cool. [name]Otto[/name] is fusty. [name]Otto[/name] is the guy at the VFW lounge telling war stories. It just simply doesn’t have the cool of other -o names, like [name]Milo[/name] or [name]Enzo[/name].
My vote would be for something equally hip as [name]Rhett[/name]:
