Hi all!!!
I’ve had [name_m]Otto[/name_m] in my head for a few weeks now and I definitely feel like he belongs on my list (probably maybe even my short list). And yet I’m no closer to having a combo or middle name idea.
[name_f]Many[/name_f] middle names make [name_m]Otto[/name_m] sound like some 18th century Germanic aristocrat or military general. I think Otto’s history is really cool and a great part of the name, but I like my combos a little more playful / storybook character / grandpa who gardens. Some of the combos on my list, if helpful, include [name_m]Bram[/name_m] [name_m]Robin[/name_m], [name_m]Percy[/name_m] [name_f]Marlowe[/name_f], [name_m]Abe[/name_m] [name_m]Sorrel[/name_m], [name_m]Grover[/name_m] Felix… 🥽🪻🧃🧸🔬🪴
Additionally, I also like [name_m]Otis[/name_m]. When I try to write out my list, I write them out the same way I do [name_f]Louise[/name_f] and [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] – it’s Louise/Louisa, Otto/Otis – nearly inseparable.
I lean a bit towards [name_m]Otto[/name_m] because he fits with the literary, European quirkiness that other names on my list have. Thinking of [name_m]Otto[/name_m] with siblings named [name_m]Bram[/name_m], [name_f]Maude[/name_f], [name_m]Linus[/name_m], etc. makes a lot of sense to me and feels very cozy. But [name_m]Otis[/name_m] is a lot easier to pair for me – [name_m]Otis[/name_m] [name_m]Albert[/name_m] reads as fun and playful, [name_m]Otto[/name_m] [name_m]Albert[/name_m] more stern.
That basically brings me to:
- Middle name ideas for [name_m]Otto[/name_m]?
- Your read on [name_m]Otto[/name_m] and/or [name_m]Otis[/name_m] + which you prefer for me?
Thank you so much for any insight or inspiration 🌙
