Our Final (??) List of names

Here are my reasons for/against the name [name]Chiara[/name]

Pros

1. I love the name - could be [name]Chiara[/name] [name]Gabrielle[/name]…?
2. It could be considered a family name as [name]Kiara[/name] (~20) is much older than our baby will be

Cons

1. Our baby will have the same first and last name as her first cousin - that could be kind of weird
2. As a first cousin, I don’t want [name]Kiara[/name] to feel weird about us using the name

Thanks for all your replies. [name]Raphaela[/name] is actually one of my favorite names, but my husband despises it. It’s so frustrating

As for the rest of your list [name]Jill[/name] - I like them a lot and will keep them in mind, but I do not love them as mich as the full name [name]Gabrielle[/name]. Sigh.

This morning I actually had an idea - do you think the nn [name]Gia[/name] would work for [name]Gabrielle[/name]? I think [name]Gia[/name] is adorable as a nn. Can not wait to hear what you all think.

[name]Hi[/name]! I think it’s great that you love [name]Gabrielle[/name]! You should go for it! No need to talk yourself out of using a name you love! You’re lucky you’ve found such a name!

[name]Even[/name] though [name]Gia[/name] is its own name apart from [name]Gabrielle[/name], I don’t see why you couldn’t use it as a nickname for [name]Gabrielle[/name]. I’m personally really liberal when it comes to nicknames, and I think you can call your daughter whatever nickname you love. Yes, she may have to explain to people that her given name is [name]Gabrielle[/name], but that’s not a big deal.
