I wanted to make an announcement since the nameberry community helped me pick my baby girl’s name following my heart and only my heart.
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] St. [name_m]Louis[/name_m] was born healthy, very chubby and I couldn’t be more happy about my name choice.
[name_f]Anya[/name_f] has been my favorite name since I first saw the animated movie [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and I can’t think of it, hear it or say it without a smile on my face, and I can’t look at my baby daughter and not smile so I think we have a perfect fit here. I feel like it’s classy; unusual enough that she won’t have too many kids her age with the same name but not enough to be weird; easy to spell and say; sounds sweet, bubbly, lovely and warm; and I believe it’s a name that suits all ages. I didn’t go for a middle name as I didn’t really felt the need, we got [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Nan[/name_f] and [name_f]Nancy[/name_f] as nicknames ideas but I honestly don’t think I’ll ever give her a nickname based on her name, it’s perfect on its own, but I’m kinda already calling her little lamb, so I guess she will have nicknames growing up. haha
Congratulations! [name_f]Anya[/name_f] is very pretty. I am having my second daughter in [name_u]December[/name_u], but we don’t have a name yet. I love [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] too though.
