Our two choices

We don’t know our baby’s gender yet. We’re having a difficult time with a girl name, but we’ve narrowed our boy choices down to two. Our son’s name is [name]Jack[/name] [name]Connor[/name], and we’re trying to stick with Irish names to honor our Irish-Catholic roots.

Here are our choices:

[name]Breccan[/name] [name]Riley[/name] or [name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]

Our surname is [name]Rafferty[/name].

I like [name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] the best. I think [name]Riley[/name] would be a little matchy with your surname. [name]Breccan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] is also very nice.

I like [name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] much better, both for its own sake and because it goes slightly better with your last name.

I honestly love them both but I think [name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] works better with your last name

[name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] goes the best with your last name.

[name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] is gorgeous, and goes beautifully with your last name. [name]Breccan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] - as someone else mentioned - is also good, though I prefer [name]Declan[/name].

I like [name]Breccan[/name] [name]Riley[/name]! For some reason I could never appreciate the name [name]Declan[/name]. I think it reminds me of [name]Deacon[/name], which I don’t like, due to its religious overtones. I am not a fan of [name]Patrick[/name] either. It is a very very common and boring name where I live and it also reminds me of [name]Patrick[/name] from SpongeBob.

[name]Breccan[/name] is nice and handsome sounding and I have always like [name]Riley[/name].

[name]Both[/name] are incredibly handsome! I know brothers named [name]Declan[/name] and [name]Jack[/name] and it just seems to work so I’m definitely leaning towards [name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Rafferty[/name].

[name]Breccan[/name] [name]Riley[/name] is cute but it is very R heavy with the last name and also [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Breccan[/name] share that similar hard ‘c’ sound, which I don’t like.

I prefer [name]Declan[/name]. [name]Breccan[/name] does not sound Irish to me but more trendy. Also, the r in [name]Breccan[/name] does not sound as nice with your last name. Good luck!

im not a declan fan overall, so i choose breccan

I love [name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] so cute!

[name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Rafferty[/name]! Swoon.

You’re drawn to those hard K sounds (jaCK [name]Connor[/name] and deClan patriCK / breCCan riley). I think [name]Declan[/name] works better with [name]Rafferty[/name] than does [name]Breccan[/name], possibly due to that R tucked away in [name]Breccan[/name]. I like [name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Rafferty[/name] very much.

[name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] is [name]Elvis[/name] Costello’s birth name. Not sure if that matters to you. I love it, personally.

I love [name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name] and you can’t get much more Irish Catholic than that :)!

I love [name]Breccan[/name] and have been trying to talk the hubs into it. I vote for [name]Breccan[/name] [name]Riley[/name]!

My favorite is [name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]! I really love both names (see my signature lol)
I like [name]Breccan[/name] too, nut I think [name]Riley[/name] sounds too similar with your last name, I guess it could work as a middle name though.

good luck

I love [name]Declan[/name] [name]Patrick[/name]! [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Declan[/name] are so perfect together.

I like [name]Declan[/name] better.
