it gives me the very most joy to share with you that our elowyn rae[name_f][/name_f] was born via c-section on monday morning, may fifth. her birth was the most beautiful experience of my life, and after all the medical trauma we have endured, it was so empowering to choose a scheduled c-section, and feel in control of our experience. 
[name_f][/name_f]
as most of you know already, elowyn shared with me her name during an emergency surgery i had in my second trimester. she is named for the elm tree, and its spiritual meaning of resilience and rebirth. my husband chose the “y” spelling, as he also has a traditional Cornish name with an untraditional “y” spelling. rae is mine and my grandma’s middle name, and i have always loved it’s double meaning of “ewe”[name_f][/name_f] and “protection”[name_f][/name_f].

wyn is the most chill baby, and we are soaking in every second as new parents. we are truly over the moon.
