P Girl Names

Does anyone have any suggestions for girl names that start with the letter P?

[name]Paulina[/name]- rhymes w/ [name]Tina[/name]
[name]Phoebe[/name]
[name]Polly[/name]
[name]Philippa[/name]
[name]Paisley[/name]
[name]Petra[/name]
[name]Paige[/name]
[name]Prudence[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]

What kind of names do you like? You can search for names here, female names that start with P. It’s a few pages long, but I think you will find a large variety of names, most of which you can eliminate on sight and picking out some that you are interested in, that doesn’t take too long. If you like suggestions, there are going to be the few standard names most can think of at hand, like [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Priscilla[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Peyton[/name], [name]Pauline[/name], [name]Posy[/name]. If you want a lot of names to choose from, try the search for names link. There may be more suggestions, but with 1325 names between boys and girls, you might try to find a lot more.

Why is it you want a P name, and if it’s relevant, do you have other children with P names that you already used some of the more popular ones?

A few more:

[name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Priscilla[/name]
[name]Paloma[/name]

Best wishes to you!

[name]Phoebe[/name] this is my fave “P” girl’s name.

[name]Paloma[/name]
[name]Paola[/name]
Paisha
[name]Paris[/name]
[name]Patience[/name]
[name]Patrice[/name]
[name]Patricia[/name]
[name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Perlina[/name]
[name]Pella[/name]
[name]Petra[/name]
[name]Pilar[/name]
[name]Pippa[/name]
Pommeline - I think this is a name, but I don’t know how to spell it.
[name]Poppy[/name]
[name]Prairie[/name]
[name]Priscilla[/name]

[name]Persephone[/name] is nice (per-seph-oh-nee).

I generally like P names a lot, actually - some of my favourites mentioned so far are [name]Phoebe[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Poppy[/name] and [name]Pearl[/name].

Also (I’m not a huge fan of a few of these, but you might like them) :
[name]Paige[/name]
[name]Piper[/name]
[name]Paisley[/name] (like the pattern …)
[name]Prudence[/name]
[name]Palmira[/name]
[name]Pamela[/name]
[name]Pansy[/name]
[name]Pari[/name] (means ‘fairy’ in Persian)
[name]Parisa[/name] (‘like a fairy’ in Persian)
[name]Petrova[/name]
[name]Pauline[/name]
[name]Posy[/name] (not as a full name)
[name]Parthenia[/name] (reminds me of the Parthenon …)
Parvana (‘butterfly’ in Persian)
Padmavati (‘possessing lotuses’ in [name]Indian[/name])
[name]Padma[/name] (‘lotus’)
[name]Patience[/name]
[name]Paulette[/name]
[name]Peggy[/name] (nn for [name]Margaret[/name])
Pembe (‘pink’ in Turkish - I’d pronounce it pem-bee, but I don’t speak Turkish, surprise surprise)
[name]Peony[/name]
[name]Pepita[/name]
[name]Perdita[/name] (I don’t think this can overcome the fact that it means ‘lost’)
[name]Perpetua[/name]
[name]Petunia[/name] (I hear ‘tuna’)
[name]Petula[/name] (was the name of a singer, and made up by her father - I hear ‘petulant’, but I suppose you could hear ‘petal’)
[name]Petal[/name]
Pixie
Pyxis (pix-is; a constellation, and marginally less silly than plain Pixie)
[name]Phaedra[/name]
Pherenike (feh-reh-nee-kee)
[name]Phillipa[/name]
[name]Pia[/name] (pie-a, not pee-a).

Good luck!

[name]Pauline[/name]/a
[name]Parvati[/name]
[name]Portia[/name]
[name]Page[/name]
[name]Penelope[/name]

Oh, and [name]Polly[/name] (as a full name, or perhaps as a nn for [name]Apolline[/name]).

[name]Pia[/name] is also an option. I like a lot of the names other posters have listed! Especially [name]Paloma[/name]. Beautiful.

I’ve actually been liking [name]Paula[/name] lately…I feel it’s along the same lines as [name]Evelyn[/name] that people are loving right now!
But I’ve also always liked [name]Pasha[/name], and I like [name]Philomena[/name]!

[name]Penina[/name]- it’s a gorgeous, elegant, underused Hebrew name that means “pearl”- same as [name]Margaret[/name] and all its variations.

[name]Pavla[/name]- the distinctive European version of [name]Paula[/name]

As for the others- [name]Paige[/name] might be seen as too trendy. [name]Phoebe[/name] is a great solid name (that I might use). [name]Padma[/name] would only work for an [name]Indian[/name] family, otherwise it’s too [name]Padma[/name] [name]Lakshmi[/name] from Top Chef.

What is your style? For example do you prefer [name]Paige[/name] or [name]Penelope[/name]?

I prefer [name]Paige[/name] but as a mn. eg [name]Alyssa[/name] [name]Paige[/name]

traditional

[name]Patricia[/name] [name]Margaret[/name]

trendy traditional

[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]

An up and coming trendy not in the first 200 names

[name]Petra[/name] is getting more love these days

unusual

[name]Petula[/name] [name]Katherine[/name]

[name]Peta[/name]

I think that [name]Petra[/name] is such a pretty name!

Others I like:

Phillippa (could use nn [name]Pippa[/name])
[name]Philomena[/name] (could use nn [name]Mena[/name])
