Parker for a girl?

What are your honest opinions on the name [name_u]Parker[/name_u] for a girl? I personally really like it and think it goes well with my other names, but I’ve seen it torn apart on other forums, so I thought I would see what people on Nameberry thought. I kind of like the name [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], but a lot of people suggest using a very feminine middle name, what do you think?

I generally dislike unisex names, but [name_u]Parker[/name_u] is one I find endearing on a little girl. It’s modern and spunky, perhaps because of the Spiderman connection. It’s not a very girly full name, but there’s no rule that it has to be. [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] goes together pretty well and I could honestly see it working for a rough and tumble boy or a sweet little girl and anything in between.

I don’t see the intrigue of [name_u]Parker[/name_u] for a girl. There are so many great names out there… unless it was for a very specific reason.

[name_u]Parker[/name_u] is nice. Not quite my style, but it’s quirky, little tomboyish and feminine too -i think I could get behind it
While I would personally choose something more feminine as a middle, [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is sweet!
[name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Saige[/name_u] or [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Layne[/name_u] came to mind

I like it, although I wish I liked it more, if that makes sense.

I used to love names like [name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_u]Carter[/name_u], [name_u]Tyler[/name_u], etc on girls, but not as much anymore.

I usually a agree on a more feminine middle, but [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is lovely. I do see [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] as mainly girl though, but with [name_u]Parker[/name_u] it could be ambiguous.

I think [name_u]Parker[/name_u] is great on a girl! Lol as you can see from my signature. [name_u]Parker[/name_u] is unisex, yes, but I think it’s sweet and spunky on a girl.

[name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is a little masculine for me but I prefer [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] for boys so that’s why. It definitely leans feminine now so I don’t think [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] would be an issue.

I strongly, strongly dislike it. I don’t personally like [name_u]Parker[/name_u] for a boy either, to be honest, but I just cannot see the appeal for a girl. I tell you this because you asked for honest responses. I’d prefer [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] as the first name actually.

Agreed. I’m not a fan of most surnames as first names, particularly not for girls. [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is all surnames… please give her at least one actual first name!

[name_u]Parker[/name_u] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] are not my style at all, but they go quite well together to make a truly unisex name. Both have been used on girls in popular television shows (Glee, Leverage, Scandal, etc), so it’s a wearable combo, if not to my taste.

Honestly, I love [name_u]Parker[/name_u] for a girl. One of my favorite shows has a female character named [name_u]Parker[/name_u], and she is so awesome it made me love the name by extension. Often people want to pair a unisex name with a clearly gendered one to make the child’s gender clear, but I don’t really think its necessary and [name_u]Parker[/name_u] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is sweet. Also, in my opinion, [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is pretty reliably a girls name, so I feel like its feminine enough.

I strongly like [name_u]Parker[/name_u] on a girl esp with [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]. I personally feels like it gives her a personal advantage!

[name_u]Parker[/name_u] works fine on a girl.
