[name_u]Pascale[/name_u]. I am loving this name right now. I can not stop thinking about it. I keep dreaming about this name so much. I am truly in love and in huge baby fever mode, lol. I find this name to be international yet so chic and feminine. I picture someone with an exotic background, tall and beautiful living in a big city, not afraid to stand up for what she believes in. But I am wondering how is this name pronounced? I read on here that it is pronounced like pahs-KALL but I have been pronouncing it pahs-KAH-[name_m]LAY[/name_m], which I happen to prefer much more. Can this be correct/okay or would you think I am weird/unique for trying to pronounce a normal name different? Which do you prefer from the two pronunciations?
It’s an extremely [name_m]French[/name_m] name, so one would expect the [name_m]French[/name_m] pronunciation (Pas-Kall). Perhaps you’d also like Pelagie? [name_f]Paloma[/name_f]?
I say [name_m]Pascal[/name_m] like Pas-[name_m]Kal[/name_m] so I’m not sure if the “E” on the end of [name_u]Pascale[/name_u] changes the sound to lay.
[name_f]My[/name_f] cousin named her daughter [name_f]Paloma[/name_f] and Pelagie looks way to similar to Pegasus. So those are out. I seriously dislike [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] with a passion. I dont know, [name_u]Pascale[/name_u] is not a common name in [name_u]America[/name_u], so I think people wouldn’t assune its [name_m]French[/name_m] right away…
I love [name_u]Pascale[/name_u]! I pronounce it with two syllables, though. I’m not sure if there’s any precedent for the three syllable pronunciation in any language. I’ve never heard it before.

I am half dominican, and I fully speak Spanish . When I say the name in Spanish, its sounds like a -[name_m]LAY[/name_m] sound at the end. It could be my accent and the way I overexaggerate some vowels.
[name_m]Pascal[/name_m] and [name_u]Pascale[/name_u] are pronounced the exact same way (pahs-KAHL). Honestly I think it’s slightly disrespectful to take a classic [name_m]French[/name_m] name and mispronounce it. The Spanish forms would be [name_m]Pasqual[/name_m] and Pasqualina.
I prefer [name_m]Pascal[/name_m], Pass-kall, though I think that the e at the end could change the pronunciation. I think it’s quite nice though. It’s always on my list in case of an easter baby. 
I don’t think anyone pronounces it with 3 syllables like that, mostly because there is a very specific pronunciation to that name. It’s like naming your child [name_f]Danielle[/name_f] or [name_f]Nicole[/name_f] and then asking people to pronounce it with three syllables (albeit those are more well-known).
If you dont like the ONLY pronunciation of this name, you dont like the name. You cant just change the pronunciation and call it the same name.
I could see it being pronounced as pass-cale. It doesn’t sound attractive to me.
The only [name_u]Pascale[/name_u] I know pronounces it pass-[name_m]KAL[/name_m]. I’ve never heard it pronounced ay other way. I suspect that [name_m]Pasquale[/name_m], the masculine Italian variation, is pronounced like pass-KWAH-lay but don’t know for sure (that’s how I said it in my head when I read “Beautiful Ruins”).
