Payton or Peyton?

Hi
My friend’s baby girl is coming soon. They like Payton/Peyton but are still unsure and the middle name will be Mariana! Does it have a southern preppy charm feel?
Which spelling do you prefer and what are some cute nicknames?

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] is charming and cute!

[name_f]My[/name_f] guinea pig is called [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] and I call her Pey (pay) and Pey-Pey.

You could also get [name_u]Pip[/name_u], [name_u]Toni[/name_u], [name_u]Poe[/name_u], [name_u]Penny[/name_u], [name_f]Pippi[/name_f], [name_u]Pepper[/name_u]!

I love [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] with this spelling! [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] is lovely and unexpected!

[name_u]Peyton[/name_u]

[name_u]Peyton[/name_u] is my preferred spelling.

[name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] doesn’t make my heart sing I do see the appeal she has that all American girl feeling to her preppy and southern. I like having such a sweet romantic longer middle name for [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] I think [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] is perfect. I actually love [name_f]Mariana[/name_f].

Nickname wise I think P is cute but I feel that [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] isn’t a band that you naturally shorten. I know two P3yt0n-R0se’s and funnily enough both get referred to as PR.

I’m the outlier, I like the [name_u]Payton[/name_u] spelling best for whatever reason. [name_u]Payton[/name_u] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] is lovely! I think it has a sweet and sassy feel, serves for all ages too. I love most all -n ending names, so this is right up my alley! And this one has a sweet meaning too!

For nn, agree with previous posters - P (both my sons go by their first initial as a nn), Pay, or Pip… maybe [name_m]Pate[/name_m]?

For some reason I’ve always thought [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] looked better aesthetically. It’s not really my taste as it’s too popular/2000s vibes but it’s a standard name otherwise.

I prefer [name_u]Payton[/name_u] out of the two options. but my preferred spelling is [name_u]Peighton[/name_u].

I like [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] better than [name_u]Payton[/name_u] for a girl! idk why, i just do :joy:
I can’t think of any nicknames for [name_u]Peyton[/name_u], i feel like it’s a name that you don’t usually shorten?
[name_u]Peyton[/name_u] [name_f]Mariana[/name_f] is pretty!

I prefer the spelling [name_u]Peyton[/name_u]. I think it works fine with [name_f]Mariana[/name_f]!
For nicknames, maybe Peytie / [name_f]Patie[/name_f]?

[name_u]Peyton[/name_u] is how I would intuitively spell it! [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] definitely has that southern charm! I don’t know if I would call it preppy, but I also have a very laid-back friend named [name_u]Peyton[/name_u]!

[name_m]Just[/name_m] making sure their last name doesn’t start with an s.

It does… why?

I’m wondering the same thing? PS? Is that a problem? [name_f]My[/name_f] pregnant daughter loves the name [name_u]Peyton[/name_u], their last name starts with an S? Her hubby doesn’t like it:(…

PMS is not ideal.

Late to this one but just to say I prefer the [name_u]Peyton[/name_u] spelling - Pay is a bit “pay”/ less sophisticated. I also like the middle name [name_f]Marianne[/name_f], for an alternative. I’m sure the nicknames will come naturally.

I know in [name_u]America[/name_u] and [name_f]Canada[/name_f] the child would be made fun of (likely) for PMS (standing for premenstrual stress).
