Pellinore, Philemon, Prosper, or Pascoe

I’m considering one of these three as a middle name for Sydney. I love classic literature and I’m keeping the spelling of Sydney after Carton. Our extended family is huge and these are some favorites that haven’t already been used or have a similar sound. I’d prefer at least one Saint name but I think Sydney should satisfy that requirement.

Sydney Pellinore - my only hesitation would be the similarity to Elinor and if the whole combo screams girl. It doesn’t bother me enough to write it off, I’m just curious how it’s perceived by others. Love the literature reference to King Pellinore of Arthurian legend.

Sydney Philemon - no hesitation. Love the meaning and added Saint reference.

Sydney Prosper - no hesitation. Maybe not the best flow but that doesn’t bother me. Love the meaning and added Saint reference.

Sydney Pascoe - would not be born during the Easter season, but I think that doesn’t really matter.

Care to share your opinions? Anything I’m missing that would make any of these unusable?

What a tough choice! I’d probably strike [name_m]Pellinore[/name_m], just to help narrow it down as its the only one you have greater doubts about.

I love [name_f]Sydney[/name_f] [name_m]Pascoe[/name_m]! I’d agree usage outside of [name_f]Easter[/name_f] wouldn’t be a big deal. I also like [name_m]Philemon[/name_m] [name_f][/name_f]- such a cool, understated name!

I love [name_f]Sydney[/name_f] Prosper!! [name_f]Sydney[/name_f] [name_m]Pellinore[/name_m] is stunninnng too but if you’re on the fence, maybe nix that one? It does lean gender neutral.
