I thought I found a pen name, but alas, Iām having cold feet. I would love some advice at how to find a good pen name.
I love my name, but unfortunately, it is in use by a singer with over a million subscribers, a mildly famous Mexican artist, and a Cuban playwright 
.
I have very specific wants, but Iām not coming up with anything āspecialā. I write in the Fantasy and Sci-Fy genres, identify as Demi women, and was born in the late 90ās. I am look for a short, punchy, Spanish name that would work in my genre. I could use some advice?
Some ideas: leda perine, pia pedrosa, bella reyes,(Spanish ideas) iris ever, nora holliday (fantasy ideas)

Iām really not good at all with Spanish names, but Iāll tell you my musings on a pen name for myself (not that I have written anything!) 
For first names I played around with my family nickname, names that arenāt mine but feel like me, and names that contain elements of my actual hyphenated first name. So, say my first name was [name_f]Michelle[/name_f], Iād consider [name_f]Michaela[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and [name_f]Ella[/name_f], that sort of thing. For last names I took inspiration from my family tree, in particular my grandmothersā various maiden names.

I havenāt ever picked a pen name for myself, but sometimes if I need to come up with a fake name Iāll do exactly what another poster mentioned - pluck something from my family tree.
Personally, I think Leda Perine is a winner. I think itās definitely the most memorable and has a pleasing phonology. I have been rooting for it in all your polls, lol!

Of your choices thus far [name_f]Leda[/name_f] [name_m]Perine[/name_m] is the most memorable. It is the one from your list that if I heard it, I would be the most likely to remember a few weeks later when Iām at the bookstore or the library.
As you love your name, have you considered using your first name but with a more uncommon last name? I second the family tree idea, looking for names that werenāt passed down.
