We gave finally chosen a girls name [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] and thought we had chosen [name]Jasper[/name] for a boy when my dh approached me about the name [name]Percy[/name]. We both love it but feel it needs a more substantial name so our choices are:
[name]Percival[/name] [name]Edmund[/name] [name]Cian[/name] (pr keen not key-an)
Or
[name]Perseus[/name] [name]Edmund[/name] [name]Cian[/name]
Which sounds best???
I much prefer [name]Percival[/name] [name]Edmund[/name] [name]Cian[/name].
P.S. Agatha Elizabeth Maeve is gorgeous.
[name]Perseus[/name] seems like a big name to live up to so I’m going to vote for [name]Percival[/name] [name]Edmund[/name] [name]Cian[/name]. I think the [name]Percival[/name] combo flows better too! [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is superb!
I guess I’m the odd one out here; I’d vote for [name]Perseus[/name]. I just don’t like the sound of [name]Percival[/name], and it has this kind of snobby vibe, to me personally. Mythic hero names are kind of in right now, with little ones named [name]Maximus[/name], [name]Augustus[/name], [name]Mars[/name], etc. I think a little [name]Perseus[/name] would fit right in!

hmm, honestly I think I like both about equally I guess. I’m with you on [name]Percy[/name]! Very nice name, but I’m not much of a fan of [name]Percival[/name] or [name]Perseus[/name]. I can see the appeal of both, they just don’t appeal to me.
For what it’s worth, I think [name]Jasper[/name] is a fantastic name. As well as [name]Agatha[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Maeve[/name]!
I think [name]Percival[/name] is much more wearable than [name]Perseus[/name].
I prefer [name]Perseus[/name], but if you later have a girl named [name]Agatha[/name], I think [name]Percival[/name] would fit better with that.
I prefer [name]Percival[/name]. Anyone named [name]Perseus[/name] now is going to be following in [name]Percy[/name] [name]Jackson[/name]'s footsteps. Sort of like naming a girl after the kid in Hunger Games. ([name]Katniss[/name]).
I like [name]Percy[/name], and if you have the guts to use [name]Percival[/name] then do it. Personally I prefer [name]Perseus[/name].

[name]Percy[/name] [name]Jackson[/name] didn’t occur to me at all, and if he goes by [name]Percy[/name] most of the time, he’s going to have the same problem with being associated with [name]Percy[/name] [name]Jackson[/name]. I haven’t read the books, though, so I don’t know if the character goes by [name]Perseus[/name] or [name]Percy[/name].
[name]Percival[/name] [name]Edmund[/name] [name]Cian[/name] is absolutely gorgeous! I really love the nn [name]Percy[/name]!

I would find [name]Perseus[/name] a bit ridiculous in real life, so I would go with [name]Percival[/name].
