[name_u]Percy[/name_u] on it’s own isn’t my cup of tea. [name_m]Percival[/name_m], on the other hand, is just dashing!

I voted for [name_m]Percival[/name_m], but I think all three are equally nice.

In my youth, I knew a geeky guy who was bullied relentlessly because his name was [name_u]Percy[/name_u]. Of course, it had a lot to do with his surname: Peacock. I can’t imagine what his parents were thinking in naming him [name_u]Percy[/name_u] Peacock. [name_m]Percival[/name_m] has a tendency to sound “hoity-toity” but I do like the [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] mythological pedigree. [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] would probably be my favourite name of them all. He was one of the heroes of Greek mythology. The name may be a bit much to live up to but since parents are calling their children [name_m]Apollo[/name_m], [name_m]Titus[/name_m] and [name_m]Maximus[/name_m], I don’t see why [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] isn’t usable. If you’re ok with naming a boy [name_m]Perseus[/name_m], go for it!

[name_m]Percival[/name_m]! I absolutely love it- dashing, romantic, a chivalrous Arthurian knight. [name_f]My[/name_f] laptop is actually named [name_m]Percival[/name_m] nn [name_u]Percy[/name_u]. (I figure I’ll never have enough kids to use all my favourites anyway so why not, haha.) [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] is also handsome, but not as soft-but-strong. I’m not a fan of [name_u]Percy[/name_u] as a full name; I find most names ending in the “ee” sound too nicknamey. And why use just one beautiful name when you can use two? I also like [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] nn [name_u]Percy[/name_u], though that’s a bit of a stretch.

For some reason [name_m]Percival[/name_m] makes me think of a self-obsessed snob, no idea why! I love [name_m]Perseus[/name_m], it is a bit of a guilty pleasure and I’m not sure if I would ever use it but I hope that when I am at a stage when I’m thinking about having children I will be brave enough, it’s just such a cool name!

I’d use [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] or [name_m]Percival[/name_m] as a full name. Voted for [name_m]Perseus[/name_m]. It just fits [name_u]Percy[/name_u] perfectly.

I prefer just [name_u]Percy[/name_u]. I do think it sounds a bit nickname-y, but I don’t love [name_m]Percival[/name_m] or [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] as much as I love [name_u]Percy[/name_u]. I like [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] nn [name_u]Percy[/name_u] for a girl, though.

[name_u]Percy[/name_u] is cute and could become the next ‘geek chic’ trend. I like [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] but could not see it being used in reality. [name_m]Percival[/name_m] just sounds like an old man with a moustache. I would just stick with [name_u]Percy[/name_u].

I’m going to be difficult and say that, although I love [name_u]Percy[/name_u], I would never use it as a full name (as a previous poster said, it sounds a bit nicknamey) Moreover, [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] for me is a bit ‘one person only’, and so I cannot imagine a real person with the name, and [name_m]Percival[/name_m] is similarly tied to the Knights of the Round Table. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m]? [name_u]Percy[/name_u] could feasibly be used as a nickname for that?
