Thoughts on the name [name_f]Perdita[/name_f]? I really like [name_f]Perdita[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] but my husband isn’t too fond of it but hasn’t suggested any alternatives.
What would you pair with [name_f]Perdita[/name_f] for a middle name? Our last name begins with a K and is a single syllable.
We already have two children named [name_m]Ivo[/name_m] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].
[name_f]Perdita[/name_f] gets a massive thumbs down from me. Something about it I strongly dislike…I think it’s the “perd” sound. [name_m]Ivo[/name_m] and [name_f]Laurel[/name_f] seem to be such a different style from [name_f]Perdita[/name_f] that it doesn’t feel right as a sibset.
A few middle name thoughts ~
[name_f]Perdita[/name_f] [name_f]Maris[/name_f]
[name_f]Perdita[/name_f] [name_f]Maren[/name_f]
[name_f]Perdita[/name_f] [name_f]Mairi[/name_f]
[name_f]Perdita[/name_f] [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Perdita[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
While [name_f]Perdita[/name_f] is not exactly my style, I actually really like it! Quirky and fun, but with substance and history too. However, if some of the other responses have you wavering on it, I thought I would toss out a few suggestions. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to disregard!
I secretly love this name. It’s a bit too daring for me, but I think it’s a great stick out/fit in name. Plus [name_u]Peri[/name_u], [name_f]Pia[/name_f] or [name_f]Dita[/name_f] make cute nicknames.
[name_f]Perdita[/name_f], to me, just means lost. If that (obvious) meaning didn’t exist I would think it was a cute name, and I could possibly get past it, but I don’t think it would ever be a favorite.
