Perfect boy name, compromise girl name

I could use some help. [name_m]Early[/name_m] on when I started trying to get pregnant I landed on the name [name_m]Felix[/name_m] for my baby. It was a bit of a surprise really. I had always like the name, but actually had settled on [name_m]Forest[/name_m] after my grandfather. But my pregnancy journey was so unique, and it just felt like the universe and my friends and family came together and really helped make this possible. And [name_m]Felix[/name_m] means lucky and happy - and it was perfect. I love the name so much as HIS name.

But now that I am pregnant, I am aware that my baby might be a girl. At first I thought I would use [name_f]Lula[/name_f] for a girl, after my grandmother, but now that I know what it feels like to have a name for a boy that is so uniquely his own and special to his story… I want that for a daughter too. I came up with [name_f]Clover[/name_f], which has the same connotations of luck. But somehow it feels like a consolation prize, a name that emulates [name_m]Felix[/name_m] instead of being something I chose just for her.

[name_m]Felix[/name_m] is such a gorgeous name

I think it’s worth considering that maybe it’s just you haven’t found the girl yet - not sure when you’re due, but you might come across the right one along the way.

I know that might not be totally reassuring but I hope you can take comfort in that the name might just not have come to you yet.

I completely agree with the sentiments that @Greyblue expressed – maybe you just need to keep looking around before you find that perfect girl option!
