My last name is 2 syllables and starts with S. Let’s just say “Seefeld” (it’s not that)
What do you think of [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Sophia[/name]?
I love the name [name]Sophie[/name]/[name]Sophia[/name] but won’t use it due to popularity. However, since I’m so attached I was thinking middle would be ok.
[name]Phoebe[/name] seems to be a name that is adorable for a little girl and can still work for an adult. Since it is Ancient Greek, it’s not too flighty (I think). [name]Phoebe[/name] means “light/shining” and [name]Sophia[/name], which is also Greek, means “[name]Wisdom[/name]”
[name]Do[/name] you like it? Would love to hear all opinions.
[name]How[/name] does
[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] Seefeld
or
[name]Phoebe[/name] Seefeld (since she won’t typically use her middle name, I assume)
sound to you?
I’ve been agonizing over names forever. Other contenders were [name]Ivy[/name], [name]Abigail[/name] … not much else. Everything felt wrong.
[name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Sophia[/name] are two of my very favourite names! ([name]Ivy[/name] is my absolute favourite name!!) and I really love the combo together.
I think [name]Sophia[/name] works great as a middle name with a two syllable “ee” ending first name. I’ve considered it as a middle for [name]Claudie[/name], our top choice for a girl. [name]Claudie[/name] [name]Sophia[/name].
I also think [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] would be great for the same reasons. It’s be a tough choice for me between [name]Ivy[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] and [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] though! [name]Both[/name] are so beautiful
Excellent choice! [name]Love[/name] both names. i seem to be one of the few who doesn’t care about popularity… would also happily use [name]Sophia[/name] as a first. [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] is great though, love the double ‘ph’, would definitely go for it!
I think I’m deviating from the norm here…but I don’t think it sounds great together.
Assuming your last name is Seefeld (just because of the ee and f sounds), altogether the name sounds too similar.
[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] Seefeld - each name has a strong f and ee sound. It sounds like a name from nursery rhyme to me, and I just don’t care for the sound of it personally. [name]Both[/name] names are gorgeous! I just don’t think they’re right together.
[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Isabelle[/name] Seefeld or [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] Seefeld would be nice. Or even [name]Sophia[/name] Seefeld would be nice.
I really like this combo, on its own and with your surname. [name]Abigail[/name] and [name]Ivy[/name] are delightful too on the whole but I like [name]Phoebe[/name] the best (AND if [name]Sophia[/name] is too popular for you, [name]Abigail[/name] is close), and particularly with the combo. A word of caution about the initials that would result from [name]Abigail[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] Seefeld : D. [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] is lovely. Good luck and all best!
[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] is a lovely combo! I like it a lot, but I agree with the pp who say [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] is a bit rhymey–[name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Sophia[/name] Seefeld has a lot of “E” and even “[name]FEE[/name]” sounds in it… I really like it, though. If your ln isn’t so EE heavy I think it’s even more usable.
I love it. I think it flows really well. I agree [name]Pheobe[/name] works on a baby or a grown up, and [name]Sophia[/name] as a middle name gives it a lot of sophistication.
