S/O is pretty keen on currently trending names, and we both like the sweet, dainty “EE” ending sound trend, so we’re currently exploring that, since we’re still trying to find what’s right for us.
I know they’re not to everyone’s taste, so please be kind if you are going to provide feedback - we do like these, and working with children, I see quite a lot of these names often at work so I do know some of them are quite accessible where I live. Some of these are also family names that we hold near and dear, so while they may not be the most wearable, they’re still important (if giving feedback, just something to bear in mind, I guess?).
That being said, vote for your favourites of my favourites (or, if you don’t like this style, pick the ones you can see working the most)!
[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] and [name_f]Chloe[/name_f] are also 100% usable but they don’t make an -ee sound for me so I didn’t vote for them.
[name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Elsie[/name_f] and [name_f]Hattie[/name_f] are nice but I’m not convinced… can I half-vote?
For me Chloe is Clo-ee, and Ottilie is Ott-ill-ee, so I included them in, but I know they’re not always pronounced this way and I’m sure we can count half votes
[name_u]Frankie[/name_u], [name_f]Edie[/name_f], [name_f]Polly[/name_f], [name_f]Betty[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f] and [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] are my personal faves
I absolutely LOVE your style! So sweet and cute. So many of these are favorites of mine, especially as nicknames.
Some I just ADORE and would love to see used more often:
[name_f]Daisy[/name_f]
[name_f]Dottie[/name_f]
[name_f]Edie[/name_f]
[name_f]Effie[/name_f] - this one is probably my favorite, so underused!
[name_f]Florrie[/name_f]
[name_f]Hattie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lily[/name_f]
[name_f]Lettie[/name_f]
[name_f]Lottie[/name_f]
[name_f]Marnie[/name_f]
[name_f]Nellie[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]
This is a great list and while not all the names are my style I find them for the most part totally usable! I personally prefer the “y” spelling on most of the ones you had noted an “ie” variation.
[name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] would be another great option to add to your list
@greyblue - I’m beginning to rediscover my love for them! @jessicalucy - you have some lovely names here! I love [name_f]Ettie[/name_f] (should add this to my own list!), [name_f]Cherry[/name_f], [name_f]Demi[/name_f], [name_u]Kimberly[/name_u], [name_f]Jubilee[/name_f], [name_f]Liberty[/name_f], [name_u]Royalty[/name_u], [name_u]Navy[/name_u], and [name_u]Truly[/name_u]! @ehrob1 - thank you! @catieQ - Thank you! [name_f]Glad[/name_f] to see another fan of [name_f]Florrie[/name_f]! @lehassebrock - Thank you I’m glad they’re generally usable choices! I quite like [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f], thank you!
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], [name_f]Bonnie[/name_f], and [name_f]Nancy[/name_f]. They all sound great, and I’m hoping they get used more. I know a [name_f]Nancy[/name_f] in her mid-20s, and she’s made me love the name. Good luck!
[name_f]My[/name_f] very favorites are [name_f]Molly[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucy[/name_f], but I also think [name_f]Polly[/name_f] is great, and I’m sad it’s gotten so few votes. [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] seems like another one you might like! Good luck!
I know a little [name_u]Josie[/name_u] and a little [name_f]Millie[/name_f] and I love both names. [name_f]Francie[/name_f] is another one I would add to your list. Molly/Mollie is probably my top favorite. Seconding the suggestion of [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] too.
