I’ve been feeling inspired by the arts recently, and wanted to share a visual of how I see my son’s name, [name_m]Santiago[/name_m]
[name_f][/name_f]
I love reading descriptions of how you all see your name combos [name_f][/name_f]- catching fireflies at night, sitting by the windowsill lost in a book, etc. [name_f][/name_f]- but have never been good at expressing these little pieces of meaning myself.
[name_f][/name_f]
for me, [name_m]Santiago[/name_m] is a sparkling deep blue ocean, bright, beautiful street art colors, and an artsy, adventerous, curious boy
[name_f][/name_f]
I would love to hear how you feel about your own child’s name or your favorite name at the moment. [name_f][/name_f] [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to use images, emojis, or just write it out!
[name_f][/name_f]
Here are some of my visuals for [name_m]Santiago[/name_m]
I picture a sweet, sensitive girl who is artistic and kind… I envision fields of purple flowers and magnolia groves and ballet and piano and finger painting at the kitchen table with mama and getting lost in a good book whenever and wherever she can.
Ohh, you just reminded me of my longtime love for [name_f]Adele[/name_f]! Funny that we have different visions of [name_m]Santiago[/name_m] but I actually picture [name_f]Adele[/name_f] very similarly to you! Absolutely love her imagery, it’s so soft and sweet [name_f][/name_f] thank you for your thoughts
The one [name_m]Santiago[/name_m] I’ve met was from [name_f]Colombia[/name_f], soft spoken and gentle hearted, loved his home country and so [name_m]Santiago[/name_m] makes me think of small mountain communities in the Andes, guitar music and historic culture, the jungle and duty and love. [name_f][/name_f] Family. [name_f][/name_f] Community.
[name_f][/name_f]
I guess it’s not that different from your view but I’d did amuse me you think of the ocean and I think of the mountains
absolutely LOVE [name_m]Santiago[/name_m] and your visuals!!
[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]my best attempt at capturing my beautiful [name_f]Chava[/name_f][name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]Chava[/name_f] is vibrant colors against earth tones, dancing in fields, musical instruments, redwood forests, and the Northern [name_m]California[/name_m] coast.
[name_f][/name_f]I picture a sweet but spirited little girl who loves animals and nature. She has freckles on her cheeks, twigs in her braid, and dirt smudges on her pinafore. She’s got a basket in one hand and a frog in the other, and she’s always the first to spot a baby bird or chase a butterfly down the garden path. She can dress up and look fancy, but she’s a tomboy at heart, with ribbons in her hair and a scrape on her knee, always ready to climb a tree or bring a baby animal inside ‘just until he warms up’.[name_f][/name_f][name_f][/name_f]
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourite boy’s name varies a lot, but the one with the strongest visual at the moment is…
[name_f][/name_f]I see my [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] as a darling, dimpled boy who shares his mama’s love for old-fashioned things, as well as muddy boots. He’s gentle, curious, and just a little bit cheeky. He loves to collect things, from snail shells to pretty leaves, and loves to bring flowers “for mama”. He builds imaginary worlds with his trains and tells tales about the animals he sees outdoors…he’s a vintage boy with wide eyes and dirt under his fingernails, collecting the world one pebble at a time.[name_f][/name_f]
Wow, such beautiful pictures and words to describe your names. You perfectly encapsulated the warm, vintage, playfulness that I also get from [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Anne[/name_f]. And your [name_m]Rupert[/name_m] [name_m]George[/name_m] just melts my heart! [name_f][/name_f] thanks for sharing!
