What boy’s name would you use to get to “[name_m]Bear[/name_m]”?
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] or [name_u]Theo[/name_u].
I think [name_m]Bear[/name_m] is the type of nn that can be a nn for any name. If I remember correctly, didn’t you used to have [name_m]Espen[/name_m] [name_m]Rigby[/name_m] nn “[name_m]Bear[/name_m]” as a combo? I LOVED that combo and think [name_m]Bear[/name_m] definitely works as a nn for [name_m]Espen[/name_m].
My first thoughts were [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], [name_m]Bernard[/name_m], or [name_m]Bayard[/name_m]. I think any -bert name could possibly work ([name_m]Robert[/name_m], [name_m]Hubert[/name_m], [name_m]Cuthbert[/name_m], [name_m]Albert[/name_m]) if you find one you like. [name_u]Barrett[/name_u]?
Thank you.
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is on our list. I have never been able to feel like it’s the one but I think it could grow on me to that love. It not only honors several family members (some who have passed) but also has special meaning for us. I love [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] but I feel it sticks out quite a bit. He would be most likely be called [name_m]Bear[/name_m] more often than [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], at least as a child. I am personally not too fond of [name_u]Theo[/name_u].
Thank you.
Yes, we have [name_m]Espen[/name_m] [name_m]Rigby[/name_m] on our short list. Both names honor and have special meaning. [name_m]Espen[/name_m] means “God’s bear”. [name_m]Espen[/name_m] would fit in really well.
[name_m]Bjorn[/name_m]! It means “bear”, so the nn seemed pretty obvious to me. I like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] to get to [name_m]Bear[/name_m], too. I’m not the hugest [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] fan, although I do like the nns [name_u]Ari[/name_u], [name_m]Thor[/name_m], and [name_m]Bear[/name_m] for it.
Honestly, though, I love [name_m]Bear[/name_m] so much that I might go straight for [name_m]Bear[/name_m]. I think it’s so cool!
Thank you.
I will have to research [name_m]Bayard[/name_m]. It has piqued my interest. I am not too fond of [name_u]BERT[/name_u] names. I prefer [name_m]Garrett[/name_m] to [name_u]Barrett[/name_u]. I can see [name_u]Barrett[/name_u] growing on me though. Actually while I type this I am wondering why I don’t love it. It offers the nicknames [name_m]Bear[/name_m] and [name_m]Rhett[/name_m], two names I adore.
Thank you.
I had to chuckle at your last sentences. We have both said why not just [name_m]Bear[/name_m]. Could use a more traditional middle name in case they wanted to be something other than [name_m]Bear[/name_m]. [name_f]Every[/name_f] time I see The Walking Dead credits I get more and more charmed by [name_m]Bear[/name_m].
[name_m]Basil[/name_m] ([name_m]Basil[/name_m] the bear)
Admittedly, I probably wouldn’t use just [name_m]Bear[/name_m]. My mom started this tradition of giving all of us animal names (butterfly, hummingbird, ladybug, dragonfly, etc.), and I want to continue it. I’d love to use [name_m]Little[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] for my first son.
The lead singer of one of my favorite bands (NeedtoBREATHE) is [name_m]Bear[/name_m] (just [name_m]Bear[/name_m], I think!). Which sort of makes me want to use [name_m]Bear[/name_m] more. But if I was decided on having a son called [name_m]Bear[/name_m], I would go straight for [name_m]Bear[/name_m], or maybe go for [name_m]Bjorn[/name_m] “[name_m]Bear[/name_m]”.
I have never heard of [name_m]Basil[/name_m] the [name_m]Bear[/name_m]. I will have to look that up.
That would be so sweet and special to carry that on. [name_m]Little[/name_m] [name_m]Bear[/name_m] is adorable.
Right now we are throwing around; [name_m]Espen[/name_m], [name_u]Barrett[/name_u], [name_u]Brett[/name_u], and [name_m]Bear[/name_m].
I love the suggestion of [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], and I think [name_m]Bram[/name_m] goes well with [name_m]Piers[/name_m] and [name_u]Charlie[/name_u] <3 I also like Balthasar NN Bear, but it doesn’t fit the theme.
Thank you.
Bram is very handsome. I personally would not use it but would love to meet one.
