Hello berries! I recently posted a thread, Naming the Spunky [name_f]Princess[/name_f] of Elves, about this same story. Well, I decided that that character will be named [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] and called [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]. Now I need to name the rest of her family and figure out their middle names. I’ll give you guys a description of each person.
The oldest princess- 18 or 19 years old. She is a very polite, fair person. She absolutely hates it when people don’t tell the truth, because she values honesty and she can be impatient sometimes. I think it would be really cool for her middle name to be [name_f]Verity[/name_f] because it means truth. I’d consider making her first name [name_f]Verity[/name_f], but since I’m sure that [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]'s full name will be [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] I’m afraid the endings might be a bit too similar for my liking. She has light brown hair, fair skin, and amber eyes.
[name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]- 16 or 17 years old. He’s a slightly mischevious person, and maybe a bit of a rebel, with a sarcastic sense of humor. He isn’t seen as a very trustworthy person by most of the other characters, although [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] looks up to him. He was exiled after being framed for a crime before the story starts, but he’s still a main character. I’ve considered the names [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] and [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] for him, but considering as I refer to him as [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] in my head I think that must be his name. His middle name(or one of them) also needs to sound good with his father’s name, because I would like for them to share a middle name. He has olive skin, dark brown hair, amber eyes and freckles.
[name_f]Persephone[/name_f]“[name_f]Pippa[/name_f]”-14 or 15 years old. [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] is a spirited, determined, spunky person. She has a bit of a temper and can be very stubborn at times. I’m absolutely sure about her first name, but I need help with her middle name. I’ve come up with [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_f]Philippa[/name_f], [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f], [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_f]Clover[/name_f]( she may or may not be younger than her twin sister, but if she is clover would be cool because she would be the fourth kid), [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], and [name_f]Persephone[/name_f] [name_f]Lyra[/name_f] [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]. She has olive skin, medium brown hair, amber eyes, and freckles.
[name_f]Pippa[/name_f]'s twin sister- 14 or 15 years old. She is a very proper, nice person. She can be just as stubborn as [name_f]Pippa[/name_f], but unlike [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] she doesn’t like to bend the rules, so the two of them but heads a lot. So far I’ve come up with [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] for her. I love [name_f]Juno[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], and [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] and [name_f]Juno[/name_f] sound great together, but I think [name_u]June[/name_u] would fit her better. She looks just like [name_f]Pippa[/name_f], without the freckles.
The youngest prince- 7-9 years old. He’s a very sweet, playful, innocent little boy. His main purpose in the story is to give a little kid’s pure, innocent outlook on things. I love the name [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] for him. He has fair skin, dark blue eyes, blonde hair, and freckles.
The king- 40-44 years old. The king is a firm, kind, seemingly perfect leader. I’m thinking that his name should either be [name_m]Maxfield[/name_m], [name_u]Asa[/name_u], or [name_m]Odin[/name_m]. I like [name_m]Odin[/name_m] the best, but the fact that [name_m]Odin[/name_m] was kind of the king of Asgard makes me hesitate about using it for my king. I’d like for him to share a middle name with [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]. He has dark brown hair, light brown skin, and amber eyes.
The jealous prince- 45-47 years old. He has a bit of resentment for his little brother because the king became king because he saved their father’s life, so their father gave his crown to the younger brother, even though the jealous prince is older. For him I like [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] or [name_m]Magnus[/name_m]. [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] is my favorite for him but it might be too tied to [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] Bane from the Mortal Instruments series, but my character is an elf, not a warlock, which is the only reason that I’m considering the name. He looks like his brother.
[name_f]Clio[/name_f]- 30-35 years old. She is a free spirited, adventurous person. She is also the king’s younger sister and [name_f]Pippa[/name_f]'s favorite family member besides [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u]. I decided that her name is [name_f]Clio[/name_f] already. I’m just conflicted about how to spell it. I prefer the [name_f]Clio[/name_f] spelling because it looks better to me and [name_f]Clio[/name_f] was the muse of poetry in greek mythology, but [name_f]Cleo[/name_f] is more familiar to most people. I would like for the oldest princess and her to share a middle name, but it’s not mandatory. She looks like her brothers.
So far I’ve come up with the sibset (in order), [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u], [name_f]Persephone[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u], and [name_m]Stellan[/name_m] ([name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u], [name_f]Pippa[/name_f], [name_u]June[/name_u] & [name_m]Stellan[/name_m]) for the king’s kids.
If it helps, I also like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], [name_f]Theodora[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]“[name_f]Aura[/name_f]”, [name_f]Isadora[/name_f]“[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]”, [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]“[name_f]Nola[/name_f]”, [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], [name_f]Clementine[/name_f]“[name_f]Cleo[/name_f]”, [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Clemency[/name_f]“[name_f]Cleo[/name_f]”, [name_f]Iris[/name_f], [name_m]Valor[/name_m], [name_m]Noble[/name_m], [name_m]Apollo[/name_m], [name_m]Ignatius[/name_m], [name_m]Aurelius[/name_m], and [name_m]Octavian[/name_m].
Sorry for the long post. Basically what I’m asking is:
A) [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other ideas for these characters’ names(besides [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] and [name_u]Zephyr[/name_u] those are set in stone)?
B) [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any middle name suggestions?
C)Should they have one middle name or two?
D) Is having a king named [name_m]Odin[/name_m] weird?
E) Is [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] tied to [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] Bane?
F) Which spelling of [name_f]Clio[/name_f]/[name_f]Cleo[/name_f] is better?
