I feel like boy names never have the same feel as girl names. That’s the big quandary here. The boy names i like dont match the girl names I like.
My s/o and I really like more common, traditional type girl names but then we find that boy names with a similar sound to them are far too common and overused.
We’re playing with the idea of starting a family and we feel like we want the names all pretty much planned out in advance. Talking names helps ease us both into the thought of having kids, I think. Plus, we want to make sure we actually like the names in a year or two’s time before it’s atrached to a person forever.
Anyway, I guess we just really need help with finding somewhat familiar male names that aren’t too outlandish or overused that kinda match with the girl names we know for sure we like.
These names include [name_f]Diane[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. And I think [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is pretty much for sure going to be used. It’s the one he seems most passionate about.
Boy names he likes and I hate include [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], and [name_m]Alexander[/name_m], and names that I like and he hates includes [name_u]Hollis[/name_u], [name_m]Pierce[/name_m], and [name_m]Simon[/name_m]. Mutual 'maybe’s are [name_m]Eric[/name_m], [name_m]Robert[/name_m], and, weirdly enough, [name_u]Evan[/name_u]?
I don’t think names of siblings with different sexes have to match. I lot of people have distinct styles for boys and girls - take me as an example: my favorite for boys is [name_m]John[/name_m], while my favorite name for girls is Artemísia. Maybe a good nickname would solve your problems? I don’t love [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], but [name_u]Kit[/name_u] is pretty cool. [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] nn [name_u]Nico[/name_u], Nyko or [name_m]Cole[/name_m] (maybe even [name_m]Klaus[/name_m]); [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] nn [name_m]Alec[/name_m], [name_m]Xander[/name_m]/[name_m]Xan[/name_m] or [name_u]Sacha[/name_u]. [name_m]Peter[/name_m]/ [name_m]Petersen[/name_m] nn [name_m]Pierce[/name_m] or [name_m]Rocky[/name_m]? [name_m]Simon[/name_m] nn [name_m]Sy[/name_m]; [name_m]Robert[/name_m] nn [name_u]Robin[/name_u] (I love this one).
[name_m]Charles[/name_m] nn [name_u]Charlie[/name_u], [name_m]Chuck[/name_m], [name_u]Chase[/name_u], [name_m]Chaz[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] nn [name_m]Hank[/name_m], [name_m]Harry[/name_m]

[name_m]Davis[/name_m]
[name_m]Franklin[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] nn [name_m]Ben[/name_m], [name_m]Benji[/name_m] [name_u]Micah[/name_u] (maybe short for [name_u]Michael[/name_u]?)
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m]
[name_m]Liam[/name_m]
[name_m]Gabriel[/name_m]
[name_m]Edward[/name_m] nn [name_m]Ned[/name_m]
