We’re not expecting yet, our youngest is still bf, but I’ve had baby fever and have been looking at names a lot lately.:smiley:

My husband is dead set on [name]Atlas[/name] for a boy, he doesn’t care much about the middle name. But I still want to have backup choices.

Super awesome list! My favorites from your first name contenders would be:

[name]Kasper[/name] (this is my favorite of the bunch, like it a lot— or any of the other variations, such as [name]Casper[/name], [name]Jasper[/name])([name]Casimir[/name] is another in a similar sounding vein you might like)
[name]Ignatius[/name] (I like it a lot, but it does have a bit of a heavy feel to it that might make it hard to carry)
[name]Calix[/name] (feels both unique and historic, but with a friendly edge to it, and the friendly nn [name]Cal[/name])
[name]Roscoe[/name] (feels real friendly too)

The two ‘[name]Max[/name]’ names aren’t bad, just not my preference. I don’t really like any of the [name]Max[/name] names too much. Thaxton, [name]Harrington[/name], [name]Hutchings[/name] all feel a bit too much like names of department stores or something to my ear, and generally don’t like them much as name options. [name]Gulliver[/name] seems too connected to his travels to my ear, and sounds a bit too similar to gullible too. I like the name [name]Atlas[/name], in theory, but it does feel a little bit like naming a kid [name]Zeus[/name] or something, feels really heavy to carry (like carrying the world on his shoulders or something). I like all the other options, just not quite as much as the four I mentioned.

Some of your MN options I like a lot a lot, and think lots of them would actually make really great first names too. [name]Evander[/name] is on my own top 4 list, so that’d probably be my favorite of all. Some of my other favorites include:

We have similar tastes! Hugo, Barnaby, Arthur, Maxence, Caspar, and Atlas are all on my list!

I prefer Atlas as a middle name, but of your Atlas combos I like Atlas Evander.
