I have recently fallen back in love with [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], after I removed it from my list some time ago. I would like to know what you think about it! [name_m]How[/name_m] would you describe a boy with this name? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any middle name suggestions?
I would also like suggestions on names that fit in a sibset with [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m] and [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m].
Thanks in advance!
PS: I use this spelling because that’s how it’s spelled in my country
I love the name [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], although I’m more used to seeing it spelled [name_m]Constantino[/name_m], [name_u]Constantine[/name_u] or [name_m]Constantin[/name_m]. My brother’s middle name is [name_m]Constantin[/name_m] because of the emperor… My parents were history nerds and I got that from them!
It’s a strong, elegant and bold name full of history. It’s long and frillier than most boy names… [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_m]Luke[/name_m], [name_m]David[/name_m] etc, but it’s a name full of character and with a sort of strength that I find charming and unique.
I also love the name [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and am considering the short version of [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] for my son. I’m stuck between [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Moses[/name_m]. [name_u]Michael[/name_u] or [name_m]Mikael[/name_m] I’m not a fan of, but I do love to pieces the name [name_m]Miguel[/name_m].
[name_f]Constance[/name_f] names are really growing on me (excluding [name_f]Constance[/name_f] strangely) and I generally think [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] is a fabulous strong choice it has a majestic vibe and seems too ooze European class.
I think [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m] & [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] sound great together and just flow it’s a lovely combination, so classic.
@[name_u]Egypt[/name_u]: [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] is the spelling I like the most, but SO actually prefers [name_m]Constantino[/name_m] (he’s Hispanic). I love [name_m]Bastian[/name_m], and actually had it on my signature today before replacing it with [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m]. I’m not fond of [name_m]Miguel[/name_m], but I love [name_m]Manuel[/name_m] which is also quite similar to both [name_m]Mikael[/name_m] and [name_m]Miguel[/name_m]
I think [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] is wonderful. The spelling that’s commonly used over here ([name_u]Constantine[/name_u]) is a favorite of mine, actually. I think it’s serious and handsome, but not in a way that feels overbearing; I do agree that there’s a regal, romance hero quality, but it feels very wearable regardless.
As for sibsets:
[name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Nicodemo[/name_m]/[name_m]Nicodemus[/name_m]
[name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Arkadi[/name_m]
[name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Ilias[/name_m]
[name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Leonid[/name_m]
[name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Vasili[/name_m]
[name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Andreas[/name_m]
[name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Flemming[/name_m]
[name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Ingmar[/name_m]/[name_m]Ingemar[/name_m]
[name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Johannes[/name_m]
[name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Kasper[/name_m]
[name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Lennart[/name_m]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] that helps! Btw, are you Russian? I assumed because of the spelling of [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u], but I gave you general Russian/Scandinavian names just in case I was being presumptuous, lol.
Nope I know the spelling looks (is?) very Russian, but that’s also how it would be spelled over here. I do have a tendency to favor Russian names, though. Thanks for your comment! I love the suggestions [name_m]Johannes[/name_m], [name_m]Vasili[/name_m], [name_m]Kasper[/name_m], [name_m]Andreas[/name_m] and [name_m]Leonid[/name_m].
I love the name [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] and I think you should use this spelling if it is the more familiar one. I like all three names but [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] seems a little bit like the odd one out in this sibset.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] it! Would it work in your area? Is it unheard of? Because its unheard of where I am. [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] is such a cool cultural name, I really like the imagery of a ruler that comes to mine. I love [name_m]Bastian[/name_m] too, [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] is great as well, but [name_m]Bastian[/name_m]'s cooler and more unique [name_m]Mikael[/name_m]'s a great spelling too, compared to the very common [name_u]Michael[/name_u].
@Shannonlim: It’s a rare name where I live, but not completely unheard of. I like the imagery of a ruler as well, and I love that everybody here seem to like it.
I like it a lot. I am more familiar with [name_u]Constantine[/name_u], so that’s my preferred spelling, but I love how European [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] feels. I like [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] together, especially, and [name_m]Mikael[/name_m] is great with it, as well! [name_m]Nikolai[/name_m]/Nikolaj was my first idea, but I think [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]/[name_u]Eliot[/name_u], [name_m]Leo[/name_m]/[name_m]Leopold[/name_m], [name_m]Kaspar[/name_m], and [name_u]Florian[/name_u] are pretty great, too (obviously, [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_u]Florian[/name_u] aren’t ideal, but they “feel” really great together, and I think the style of [name_u]Florian[/name_u] fits pretty well with [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m], [name_m]Mikael[/name_m], and [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u]).
[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I’m not sure where you live but I’m from the US and I’m not a fan of the name. I just don’t think it’s usable in today’s time. Sorry, just my honest opinion.
I love [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u]. I’m Greek so I’m used to hearing [name_m]Konstantinos[/name_m] all the time and wish that the [name_u]Constantine[/name_u] family of names was more popular. I typically prefer names that start with a C so I prefer the spelling [name_m]Constantin[/name_m] but [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] is an awesome name. I also love the name [name_u]Constantine[/name_u].
Thank you for your comment! Could you elaborate a bit more on why you find it unusable? Is it because you dislike it in general, or because you find it very different from other names used today?
I live in Greece and i know at least six different [name_m]Konstantinos[/name_m] . The funny thing is that they all have dark hair and they go by [name_m]Kostas[/name_m] . Anyway i really like [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] , i think its handsome , serious and majestic . I picture a very handsone , educated man with pale skin and dark hair .
Although i prefer [name_u]Constantine[/name_u] because of the association with the movie , i still think [name_u]Konstantin[/name_u] is a fabulous choice .
I don’t like it at all especially with the K it makes it look like one of those harsh long [name_m]German[/name_m] names I am absolutely not a fan of, way too much fuss for a boy’s name and old-fashioned. Middle? Okay, fine. First? Too much.
