Please help! Honest opinions wanted

Hello everyone! :heartpulse:
We found out we are expecting a sweet baby girl and we are excited. However, naming her has been sooooo hard.

Please feel free to share genuine opinions and critiques on the names we have so far as this will be her name forever and we want to make sure itā€™s a good choice. Name suggestions would be amazing as well! Something to keep in mind is we know for sure our second girl (if we are blessed to have more) will be named Juliette Joy.

We like feminine girly or elegant names. We favor longer names with nick name capability and we also really seem to like alliteration. We have to use ā€œAnnā€ as a middle name, either as a second middle or just by itself as itā€™s a family name given to all first born girls. Here are the name combos we have so far.

  • Adeline Ann with the nick name Ada or Elle.
Do you think Elle is too much of a stretch? Our worry about using Adeline is that there are many ways to pronounce and spell this name and we wouldnā€™t want her correcting people her entire life. We pronounce this name ā€œAdd - a - lineā€

  • Magnolia May Ann with the nick name Maggie.
Sheā€™d be our little Maggie May. Is Magnolia too southern or too strange? Honest thoughts are wanted! If Magnolia is too strange we do also like Margaret since the name means pearl. May is the month our anniversary is in so we liked May as a middle name.

  • Cecilia Ann with the nick name Cece.
We couldnā€™t come up with any alliteration for the middle name that sounded good (suggestions welcome) but we like that Saint Cecilia is the patron saint of music as music is important to us.

  • Violet Ann or Violet Vera Ann.
Does Violet Vera Ann flow weird? Other V name suggestions for the second middle would be good. We do think Violet is pretty but some people have said it sounds too similar to the word violent or the word violate? Do you find this to me true? And we werenā€™t sure of nick names for this one.

  • Ophelia Ann or Ophelia Ocean Ann.
My husband really likes the name Ophelia but didnā€™t this character die in a play? My husband likes the nick name ā€œOā€ but iā€™m not too sure. I canā€™t think of any other nick names, so suggestions would be awesome! We do love the song Ophelia by the lumineers.

  • Anastasia Ann. Nick name would be Ana.
Are there issues with pronunciation with this name? We would pronounce is Ana-stay-sha.

Names we love but canā€™t use are

  • Alice (Used with Ann sounds like Allison and we donā€™t like the sound of it)
  • Vivienne (Best friend named her baby this)
  • Scarlet (Mother in law said Scarlet the Harlot so we already vetoed but itā€™s so cute)
  • Isla (Love this so much but too short)
  • Ruby (Same as Isla :frowning: )
  • Mila (Niece is named Mia)
  • Olive (Husband doesnā€™t want to think of food when he says her name)
  • Gemma (Nieces name)
  • Lucia (I LOVE this name but cousin is name Lucy :sob:)
  • Rosalie (Cousin names her baby Rosie)
  • Lily (My cousin is named Lillian and goes by Lily)

So many names I think we would have already chosen but we both have really big families. So sad!!! Sorry this so long. Please help itā€™s so hard naming a person haha. I appreciate you taking the time to read this!

I think your list is great  I would pick an ā€˜AAā€™ name as your second would be ā€˜JJā€™ so I think [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] are perfect and give you great nickname options.

I also think the following ā€˜Aā€™ names are a great fit:

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] - you could then use [name_f]Mila[/name_f] as a nickname if you felt like that would be a good compromise, or other nicknames like [name_f]Millie[/name_f], [name_f]Amy[/name_f], Lia)

[name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] - nicknames like [name_m]Alex[/name_m], [name_f]Lexi[/name_f], [name_f]Andie[/name_f]

[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] - nicknames like [name_m]Rory[/name_m], [name_f]Auri[/name_f]

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] - nicknames like [name_f]Bella[/name_f], [name_m]Ari[/name_m]

[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]ā€“ This is such a pretty name! I love the nickname [name_f]Ada[/name_f], and [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is definitely a bit stretchier but could still work. I wouldnā€™t worry about pronunciation issues here; in my experience [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] is always ā€œadd-a-lineā€ and [name_f]Adelyn[/name_f] is ā€œadd-a-linā€.
[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] ā€“ [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], I donā€™t think sheā€™s too southern or strange at all, but rather a lovely, underrated choice!
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] ā€“ such an elegant name! Some alliterative suggestions could be (this is a tricky one)ā€¦ [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Cerise[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] ā€“ I absolutely love the alliteration of [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], and while I do recognize the similarity to the words ā€œviolentā€ & ā€œviolateā€, I think sheā€™s a familiar enough choice to where it wouldnā€™t be an issue! Nicknames could be [name_f]Vi[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f], or [name_f]Lettie[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]Ocean[/name_m] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] ā€“ What a lovely combo! The story of [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] from [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] is an unfortunate one, but if your main association is the song by the Lumineers then I say go for it! Nicknames could be [name_f]Lia[/name_f], [name_f]Effie[/name_f], or [name_f]Fifi[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] ā€“ stunning and way too underused! I would pronounce it as Ana-stay-sha.

Overall, I think my favorites of your list (taking hypothetical sister [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] into account) would be [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], or [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]! Pairing [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] & [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] as sisters would be a little too [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] for me personally, but I do love both names a lot.

A few more suggestions (with alliteration), if youā€™d likeā€¦
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Gisella[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ella[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Seraphina[/name_f] [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Margot[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

[name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] ā†’ sleek, pretty and vintage but fresh too. Iā€™d pronounce it as you do since youā€™ve spelled it -line over -lyn. I think you could do [name_f]Elle[/name_f] if it really suits her and you go with it from the beginning - Iā€™d use [name_m]Dell[/name_m] for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] so I get.

[name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] ā†’ this is so sparky and charming; vintage vibes and a pretty sound. I donā€™t find [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] strange - itā€™s fairly well used these days and combines plenty of familiar sounds

[name_f]Cecelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] ā†’ this is such an elegant and pretty name, with a playful nickname. A couple of alliterative middles could be:
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Carys[/name_f] Ann; [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Cadence[/name_f] Ann; [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Clarice[/name_f] Ann; [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

*[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] / [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] ā†’ sharp and sweet with vintage charm. I get that [name_f]Violet[/name_f] could sound like violent but for me, itā€™s popular enough these days that I donā€™t really think about that on hearing the name? Itā€™s just the name :person_shrugging: [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] flows nicely now Iā€™ve said it a few times  and nicknames could be [name_f]Vivi[/name_f] / [name_f]Vivie[/name_f], Vee, [name_f]Lettie[/name_f], [name_f]Etta[/name_f]

You could also consider middle names: [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Verity[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Veronica[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vada[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] / [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]Ocean[/name_m] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] ā†’ [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is pretty, arty, floral and literary. Yes, the Shakespearean character does die but then so does [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] :person_shrugging: [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]Ocean[/name_m] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is pretty and whimsical.
Some nicknames could be: [name_f]Opal[/name_f], Phee, [name_f]Effie[/name_f], Ophie

[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] ā†’ [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is a pretty name - elegant, regal, and stylish - but there are multiple pronunciations, and I would say it differently to you, so Iā€™d test out to see which one people around you might use intuitively?
While I do like [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and while I know [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and [name_f]Ann[/name_f] have different origins, it does feel a bit weird to use them both in the same combo to me.

Some other ideas:

[name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] - ā€˜Islaā€™ ā€˜Elleā€™

[name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] / [name_f]Emmeline[/name_f] [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] - ā€˜Emmyā€™ ā€˜Elleā€™ 'Lina

[name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Lois[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] - ā€˜Livā€™ ā€˜Vinnieā€™ ā€˜Viviā€™ ā€˜Lilouā€™

[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] / [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Freya[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] - ā€˜Feeā€™ ā€˜Flissā€™ ā€˜Lissyā€™ ā€˜Fifiā€™ ā€˜Effieā€™

[name_f]Arabella[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] - ā€˜Elleā€™ ā€˜Belleā€™ ā€˜Abbieā€™ ā€˜Araā€™ ā€˜Ariā€™ ā€˜Allieā€™

[name_f]Saffron[/name_f] [name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] - ā€˜Saffieā€™

[name_f]Imogen[/name_f] [name_f]Isla[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] - ā€˜Immyā€™ ā€˜Ginnyā€™ ā€˜Mimiā€™

so happy for you!!! :two_hearts::two_hearts::two_hearts:

thoughts on [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

Summary

i think itā€™s lovely and timeless and flows really well with [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]. i would also pronounce it ADD-uh-line

thoughts on [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

Summary

i know a little [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] and i love the name! i do live in the south but its not very southern if you know what i mean, i dont get southern vibes from [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] at all just think of the pretty flower!
i am, however, not a huge fan of [name_f]May[/name_f] and [name_f]Ann[/name_f] togetherā€¦ love [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] though!

thoughts on Ceceilia [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

Summary

super cute! lovely name with nice flow šŸ«¶šŸ» i like it with [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] as well

thoughts on [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

Summary

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] is a gorgeous name and i have zero negative connotations just a pure beauty of a name :face_holding_back_tears:
i like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] if [name_f]Vera[/name_f] is pronounced VEER-uh and not VAIR-uh (i like the second pronunciation better just not paired with Ann)

thoughts on [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]Ocean[/name_m] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

Summary

GORGEOUS love the nn [name_f]Lia[/name_f] maybe [name_f]Fifi[/name_f]?

From your list my favorites are Violet Ann, Ophelia Ann, and Cecelia Ann.

Violet is a personal favorite
Ophelia is darling and has the Amelia/olivia feel with less popularity
Cecelia is gorgeous and I adore the nickname Cece or Celia. The meaning puts me off just a bit but the meaning of Celia is heavenly I believe? So that makes me appreciate Cecelia more!

I would pass on Adeline. Itā€™s very pretty and I love your pronunciation but also I hear so many Addie names right now and I prefer others from your list. Anastasia feels a bit dated to me and donā€™t love it with Ann.

I much prefer Margaret to Magnolia and adore the option of Maggie May-so cute!

Other ideas:

Arabella Ann -love this with potential sister Juliette

Aurelia Ann -has that Ophelia sound and a lovely meaning without tying you in to a Shakespeare theme, if thatā€™s something you want to avoidā€¦but I kinda like it!

Evangeline Ann-you get the repeating Ann sound but it isnā€™t obviousā€¦just enough alliteration

Your options are beautiful!

Adeline Ann - a lot of similar sounds for me, but I love Adeline! I prefer Della to Ada or Elle personally, but I think your nn options make perfect sense and work seamlessly.

Magnolia May Ann - I donā€™t love the two one-syllable names back to back (my grandmother had such a name and it always seemed a little hard to say), but I think Magnolia is beautiful! Itā€™s a family name for me and the trees are beautiful. I met a family with a little Magnolia recently and I was so happy to come across it in real life! Maggie May is sweet.

Cecilia Ann - I am a HUGE Cecilia fan, so I love this! Cece is adorable. I like Cecilia Celeste or Cecilia Cosette but maybe those are too long with Ann for you?

Violet Ann - Violet + Anne seems like such a perfect pairingā€”I donā€™t think thereā€™s a variant of Anne I donā€™t love with Violet! Iā€™m a big Violet fan too. Beautiful name. I LOVE Vera but I donā€™t love the alliteration of Violet Vera?

Ophelia Ann - beautiful name, but I donā€™t love the tragedy surrounding Ophelia, which makes it hard for me to want to use her as a first name (Iā€™ve considered Violet Ophelia for years, though!). Ocean is interesting but seems a bit out of place with Ophelia and Ann to me?

Anastasia Ann - I love Anastasia, and want this to work for you so badly, but I donā€™t think I would do Anastasia and Ann together in the same comboā€¦. Given the similarity of Ana and Ann, could Anastasia honor your family honor requirement?

I think Adeline or Cecilia are my favorite first namesā€¦ I would add Anastasia to that with a different middle. Magnolia is one of those that I love in theory but canā€™t seem to commit toā€¦ but Maggie May is sweet and Magnolia is unexpected and lovely.

A few other ideas:

Felicity Ann
Magdalen Ann
Livia Ann (more unusual than Olivia, but less foody than Olive?)
Florence Ann
Georgina Ann
Natalia Ann
Rosemary Ann
Adelaide Ann (this could also give you Ada or Elle?)
Helena Ann
Coralie Ann
Nadia Ann
Madeleine Ann
Ramona Ann
Mirabelle Ann or Mirabella Ann

Good luck!

Out of all of those choices I think you should go with [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. I love love love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], and think its a beautiful name, not too common either!

I donā€™t have any actual suggestions, but [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] did indeed die in a play! Shakespeareā€™s [name_m]Hamlet[/name_m], specifically. She was his lover, he rejected her, she went crazy and drowned. So if the tragedy of that bothers you, then you probably shouldnā€™t use it. However. [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is a name that has been garnering a lot of attention recently, what with Oliviaā€™s popularity. Shakespeareā€™s [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is definitely a prevalent cultural association, but it isnā€™t the only one, and the names of characters who are tragic or indeed evil have often still been used. So yeah, she died, but itā€™s not quite as big of a deal anymore in the naming world! (Sorry, I know you probably didnā€™t want me to infodump [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] at you! Nicknames could be Elie/Eelie, [name_f]Lia[/name_f], Elia.)

  1. [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]
[name_f]Elle[/name_f] is very much a stretch. I think [name_f]Ada[/name_f] works. There are two pronunciations and people will sometimes pick the wrong one, but since itā€™s such a popular name people will figure it out. I like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f].

  2. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f]
It is a little [name_f]Southern[/name_f], but what is too [name_f]Southern[/name_f] exactly? You would have to decide what that is. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] is not weird, itā€™s in the top 200 names. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] also sounds good with those middle names. [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] absolutely works either way.

  3. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
Very pretty. If you want an alliterative middle:
    [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
    [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Carol[/name_f]
    [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
    [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Coral[/name_f]
    [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Clove[/name_f]
    [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Cleo[/name_f]
    [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]
    are all good options.

  4. [name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f] is a little choppy sounding. A longer, flowier middle such as [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vivian[/name_f], [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Victoria[/name_f], or [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Valeria[/name_f] would sound better. It only sounds too similar to violent or violate if YOU think so, this is a popular, likeable, established name and on other name forums Iā€™ve heard people making fun of the ā€œViolet sounds like Violentā€ thing as being a bad reason to reject the name.

  5. [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]
Yes, this character died in a play. And it gets worse, itā€™s heavily implied that she committed suicide. [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] would give you ā€œOā€ as well as [name_m]Ollie[/name_m], [name_f]Liv[/name_f], and [name_f]Livi[/name_f], without the tragic associations. If you do want to use [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f], ā€œEliaā€ (taken from the last four letters) is a pretty nickname.

  6. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]
I think your pronunciation is the more common one. Iā€™ve heard ā€œAwn-ah-stahz-ee-ahā€ with five syllables too, but I doubt many people would guess that one on the first try. Your [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] would probably be fine.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Here are my thoughts on the list:

  • [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] with the nick name [name_f]Ada[/name_f] or [name_f]Elle[/name_f].

Gosh, I love [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] but just [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]. I personally would be afraid to use this, because I have an aversion to [name_f]Addie[/name_f]. Itā€™s just so over done. But most of them are Adelyns. Anyway, I like [name_f]Ada[/name_f] a lot as a full name but feels a bit stretch as a nn for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]. I definitely think that [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is too stretchy too. There are so many other names that [name_f]Elle[/name_f] could be a nn for though, if you wanted to explore those.

  • [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] with the nick name [name_f]Maggie[/name_f].

No way, [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] isnā€™t too strange! I think itā€™s beautiful & gives you [name_f]Maggie[/name_f] in a more unique way than the regular [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] (which is a fine name). I also like [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Molly[/name_f].

  • [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] with the nick name [name_f]Cece[/name_f].

[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] is lovely. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] nn [name_f]Cece[/name_f] makes sense; I donā€™t think that you need another ā€˜Cā€™ name. I do really prefer just [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] or [name_f]Celie[/name_f] though in my opinion. [name_f]Cece[/name_f] is a little too cutesy for me.

  • [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f].

Aw, I love [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] nn [name_f]Vivie[/name_f] is sweet. I mean, it is similar to the word violent, but [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is also a pretty common word. And a fairly popular name. I wouldnā€™t worry about it.

  • [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] or [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]Ocean[/name_m] [name_f]Ann[/name_f].

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] is honestly a little dramatic for my tastes, but itā€™s still a cool name. I love the song connection. And I love the elegant nature-y [name_m]Ocean[/name_m] snuck in there with [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]Ocean[/name_m] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. How lovely! I donā€™t like ā€˜Oā€™ for a nnā€¦I like [name_m]Ollie[/name_m]! [name_f]Lia[/name_f] also makes sense.

  • [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. [name_m]Nick[/name_m] name would be [name_f]Ana[/name_f].

I think that the pronunciation is fairly common. Mostly because of the movie, I guess? I love [name_f]Ana[/name_f], but [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is not my cup of tea. Itā€™s just a bit much. Still a fine choice.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

I really like [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. I think itā€™s just beautiful. If youā€™d really like a second middle how about?

[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Camille[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Sally[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Cora[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] did die in [name_m]Hamlet[/name_m], but the character has kind of been reimagined as a symbol of female empowerment. Nicknames include [name_f]Fia[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f], [name_f]Faye[/name_f], [name_f]Effie[/name_f], [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f], and [name_f]Opal[/name_f].

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] would be my second choice for you. While I like the name [name_m]Ocean[/name_m], I donā€™t think it flows well in this context. Maybeā€¦

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ottilie[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Oriel[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

From your list, I really like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f], and [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is a sweet nickname for [name_f]Adeline[/name_f]. Nkcknames are supposed to be fun, so I believe that almost everything that resembles the birth name works. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] is one of my favorite names for a girl. I love [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]! Itā€™s magnificent. However, it doesnā€™t flow well with [name_f]Ann[/name_f], in my opinion. [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]Marianne[/name_f] or [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] Anna-May would be lovely, if thatā€™s an option. [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is interesting and sophisticated. Unfortunately, [name_m]Ocean[/name_m] also doesnā€™t create the best cadence with [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. I also adore [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. Itā€™s majestic and unexpected, but since [name_f]Ann[/name_f] can be a nickname for [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f], the combo feels a bit redundant.

Since you want an alliteration, what about:
[name_f]Amethyst[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Althea[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]Onyx[/name_m] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

Great choices. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is lovely. People will mispronounce [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f].

[name_f]Avaline[/name_f] (Lina) [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecily[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

I love your idea of [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f], sooo gorgeous and unique. Iā€™d personally leave out [name_f]May[/name_f] with it unless you had your heart set on how it sounds with the nickname and all three names.

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] (Lia) [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
Alouisa [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Cassandra[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] :100: Second choice would be [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. No need for a third name.

I love [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] with the nickname [name_f]Elle[/name_f]! If it feels too much as a stretch perhaps you could use [name_f]Ellie[/name_f].

Other names that remind me of the ones you have said are:
[name_f]Adelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] (Katie) [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Eileen[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Elodie[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Frances[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] (Maggie) [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Meredith[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Stella[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Theresa[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]

Of these, my favorite is by far [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] Ann!!
I donā€™t think two middles is too much, no.
Adeline-> [name_f]Elle[/name_f] does feel like too much of a stretch, and [name_f]Ada[/name_f] would be too much as well for me.
For a first middle of [name_f]Cecelia[/name_f], how aboutā€¦
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_m]Cove[/name_m] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Coral[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Carys[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Carol[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
I donā€™t like ā€œOā€ as a nickname either. What about [name_f]Odessa[/name_f] [name_m]Ocean[/name_m] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] instead, with nn [name_m]Odie[/name_m]?
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is so pretty but I donā€™t think [name_f]Vera[/name_f] flows well into [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. What about [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] or [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vienna[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]? [name_f]Vivie[/name_f] would work as a beautiful nickname for that.
For your nickname [name_f]Elle[/name_f], what about [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]? Without the z, it would encourage [name_f]Elle[/name_f] as a nickname rather than [name_f]Liz[/name_f]. Other E middles for the alliteration-
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Eve[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Etta[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Effie[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Epiphany[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]
[name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is a beautiful name but it feels extremely odd in the same name as [name_f]Ann[/name_f] to me.

You say youā€™re planning on using [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] for a second girl if you end up having another girl. Why not just use that name for the first daughter? Itā€™s a pretty name and you have both already agreed to it. [name_m]Just[/name_m] a thought.

  • [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] Is very pretty. I do think [name_f]Elle[/name_f] is a bit of a stretch for a nickname.
  • [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] is very cute and I think ages well. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] feels too old fashioned to me.
  • [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] seems clunky to me for some reason. It just doesnā€™t flow right. [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] sounds better to me. [name_f]Cece[/name_f] is a cute nickname.
  • [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Vera[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] doenā€™t flow well in my opinion. [name_f]Violet[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] sounds better to me. I also think [name_f]Violet[/name_f] ages well with the person but it is one of the more popular flower names. There will probably be other Violets in her class. [name_f]Vi[/name_f] is a pretty popular nickname for [name_f]Violet[/name_f] but Iā€™ve also seen [name_f]Lottie[/name_f] or [name_f]Lettie[/name_f].
  • [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] sounds like a sweet southern girl. I can picture a little girl and a adult with this name. I donā€™t like the nickname ā€œOā€ though.
  • [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]Ocean[/name_m] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] doesnā€™t flow well to me. Sounds clunky. [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_m]Ocean[/name_m] or [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] sounds much better to me.
  • [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f] (Ana) is a little too much for me. Her name would be [name_f]Ana[/name_f] [name_f]Ann[/name_f]. I donā€™t think this works well. [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f] would be cute though.

I noticed you like floral names; so do I! You say you cannot use [name_f]Lily[/name_f] because of your cousin, but have you considered [name_f]Lilac[/name_f]? Itā€™s pretty and uncommon and has a [name_f]Lily[/name_f] feel. I think [name_f]Olympia[/name_f] might be a cool name for you to consider as well.
