Please help me choose a beautiful girl name💖

I have a daughter [name_f]Elina[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f]. We are having a second girl. We are limited with choices as we are in Europe and need a name that sounds good internationally as well as in our language. So a lot of beautiful names that sound amazing in [name_f]English[/name_f] are out of question. I like [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] (has great meaning - the golden lioness) or [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is quite common in Europe, though (pronounced with Y sound not G). Middle name can be more dramatic and longer than the first name. I also like [name_f]Lidia[/name_f] (sounds a bit harsh in our language) or [name_f]Edita[/name_f]. I went through so many names, I love [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] but husband doesn’t want it as a first name. [name_f]Leona[/name_f] is international and not very common but still a classic name. What do you think? [name_f]Do[/name_f] my two choices go with my first daughter’s name? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other suggestions with the same style? [name_m]Or[/name_m] would you switch the order of names? Thank you in advance, this is more difficult than I thought it would be.

Congratulations!
[name_f]Elina[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] is an absolutely beautiful name! [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] is lovely, but I prefer the flow of [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Leonore[/name_f] better! [name_f]Elina[/name_f] [name_f]Anastasia[/name_f] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] Leonore/Leonora are gorgeous! [name_f]Lidia[/name_f] is also lovely, but [name_f]Edita[/name_f] seems a bit too similar with [name_f]Elina[/name_f].

Suggestions:
[name_f]Eviana[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]
[name_f]Ariela[/name_f]
[name_f]Jolana[/name_f]
[name_f]Lilja[/name_f]
[name_f]Madina[/name_f]

Would you consider Elin@ An@stastia and [name_f]Antonia[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] (or Leona)?

I think Leona and Elina are a little too similar. I’d choose Julia Leonora - it’s so beautiful! :rose:

Wow, thank you for the suggestion [name_f]Eviana[/name_f], I don’t have [name_f]Eviana[/name_f] on my name list and don’t know why, it’s beautiful and has powerful meaning as well. It’s almost like I haven’t heard it before but it’s still familiar. [name_f]Beautiful[/name_f]! [name_f]Ariela[/name_f] is my faveourite princess name but my husband doesn’t like that it’s the [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid:) I really do love [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] but was clinging to [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], since my husband finally accepted it as a middle name. Calling my mom tomorrow about [name_f]Eviana[/name_f], I’m saying it out loud now to try it out :ribbon:

You are right, in [name_f]English[/name_f] especially, since it’s Lee-oh-na. In our language it’s Leh-oh-na (wide E). And in [name_f]English[/name_f] it’s too close to have Eh-lee-na, Lee-oh-na. I agree. Very helpful. [name_f]My[/name_f] family would also prefer [name_f]Julia[/name_f] for sure, it is classic and beautiful

[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] also has a great meaning (I always check the meanings🤗) but it is very Italian sounding. I like a lot of Italian names but we have no Italian roots in the family. [name_f]Love[/name_f] A names though, so thank you for the suggestion✨️

I vote for [name_f]Leona[/name_f], as the pronunciation will be the same just about anywhere. And it’s beautiful!

[name_f]Leona[/name_f] is lovely! [name_m]Strong[/name_m], solid and elegant. [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] is pretty! [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is nice too - classic and grounded.

[name_f]Leonora[/name_f] [name_f]Julia[/name_f] would be wonderful - I think it flows easily enough that it works!

A few that came to mind:

[name_f]Silvia[/name_f] [name_f]Leona[/name_f]
[name_f]Nadia[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]
[name_f]Klara[/name_f] [name_f]Sabina[/name_f]
[name_f]Vida[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]

I vote for [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is accessible and international, and [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] is dramatic and operatic. It’s a well-balanced combo. I dislike how [name_f]Leona[/name_f] ends in the letter [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] starts with - though golden lioness is a great meaning.

[name_f]Celeste[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]? [name_f]Mira[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]?

I love the suggestions🎉, [name_f]Nadia[/name_f] and [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] are so pretty. Husband said [name_f]Silvia[/name_f] reminds him of an older woman name, not for baby or young girl. But I think it’s dignified and timeless. [name_f]Nadia[/name_f] is so pretty, my friend already has a daughter [name_f]Nadia[/name_f], that’s why I didn’t put it on my list. I was lucky with my first daughter, my husband agreed immediately. This time he is using his veto quite a bit😒 But I think we found good options, so I’m very excited💞 [name_f]Love[/name_f] everyone’s opinions and great feedback

Both of your options are beautiful and go well with your daughter’s name. I’m leaning a bit more towards [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f].

I’m glad you like [name_f]Eviana[/name_f]! It is such a beautiful name! There’s also [name_f]Aviana[/name_f] if you don’t want her to have matching initials with Elina…

[name_f]Antonia[/name_f] isn’t only Italian, it was the name of [name_f]Queen[/name_f] Marie-Antoinette when she was an Austrian princess, and it would work in a lot of languages. I just checked out of curiosity and it’s also used in Spanish and Portuguese speaking countries as well as [name_f]Iceland[/name_f], Greece, [name_m]Cyprus[/name_m], Croatia, Latvia, Poland, [name_f]Malta[/name_f], Switzerland… I honestly think it works about anywhere in Europe.

Your daughter’s name is lovely!
[name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] are stunning names. [name_f]Leona[/name_f] is a powerful, charismatic and adorable name. [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] has a gorgeous meaning. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is a timeless, international beauty. I love the name [name_f]Leonora[/name_f]! It’s regal, sweet and gentle.

I think you may like [name_f]Aura[/name_f] and [name_f]Junia[/name_f]! Two gorgeous classic names that sound unexpected, poetic and strong. [name_f]Junia[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f] could be an lovely alternative to [name_f]Julia[/name_f], if you would like to select something less popular. I also adore [name_f]Aura[/name_f] [name_f]Leonora[/name_f], [name_f]Junia[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Aura[/name_f] [name_f]Leona[/name_f] and [name_f]Aura[/name_f] [name_f]Julieta[/name_f].

I missed your post, don’t know how. Thank you for all the suggestions🎀. [name_f]Aura[/name_f] is beautiful unique and meaningful, unfortunately sounds very harsh in our language with the way U and R are pronounced. I think we settled on [name_f]Leona[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], as my daughter also loves the name. I think I need another girl in the future, because now I have so many gorgeous options for girl names🥰
