Have you ever been stuck between 2 names - I love them both, it is just that some days I love one just a little more than the other.
[name]Hermione[/name] Watts
[name]Mabel[/name] Watts
Please please help me settle on one!!!

i like hermione…
i think it’s lighter and more feminine
I love [name]Hermione[/name]!
[name]Hermione[/name]. I know that it’s not unheard of now, thanks to the [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] books, but I don’t think that it’s a name parents are keen to use, because of the [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] association (not that I think that it’s a bad association!). I just think that it’s not too common.
And I think that having [name]Hermione[/name] [name]Granger[/name] as a namesake is an AWESOME thing - I think her character is a great rolemodel for young girls, I’m not sure if that is something that you would take into consideration, just putting in my two cents worth.
I like [name]Mabel[/name], but when I look at this name, it just doesn’t seem complete, it looks unfinished to me. And my husband just chimed in (bless him!) as he walked past, and said that he thought[name]Mabel[/name] Watts is too short, [name]Hermione[/name] Watts sounds better together.
Good luck!!!
[name]Hermione[/name]. It is a beautiful name and although I love the idea of [name]Mabel[/name] I can never see it on a child. [name]Hermione[/name] will have the [name]Harry[/name] [name]Potter[/name] associations but I agree with the previous poster, It’s not a bad thing.
You have all confirmed what I feel deep down. I think that the longer name goes well with Watts too. The HP thing doesn’t worry me too much as I think that can happen with any name and at least it is a good association… I doubt any other authors/film writers will use [name]Hermione[/name] now. I am in QLD Aus too, so the baby will be a winters baby - so I like the association of [name]Hermione[/name] with ‘A winters tale’ x x x Sounds like I have almost convinced myself!!! x x x
My vote would be for [name]Hermione[/name] too! It’s lighter sounding to my ears and I’m glad it’s been dusted off!
Definitely [name]Hermione[/name]–with [name]Mabel[/name] as a middle name (that way, you won’t feel like you had to leave one out.)
my vote goes to [name]Hermione[/name]…pretty…
[name]Mabel[/name] is too “old lady” for me…
good luck (:
