My husband and I have narrowed our baby name choices down to two first names, but I am having trouble finding the perfect MN for one of them. We have one daughter named [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] and our top choices for this baby are:
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] ______ or [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
We both like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] as a middle name for [name_f]Esther[/name_f], but I’m not sure it’s the most fitting. Looking for something feminine and girly, but not too frilly. Names ending in -ana makes it feel somewhat forced though I am okay with names ending in -a. Also, not opposed to alliteration so E names are welcome suggestions as well.
Anyways, one name I am considering and waiting for the hubby’s input is [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f]. Thoughts? I would appreciate any new suggestions! When searching for a name for this long it’s hard not to feel like you’ve seen everything! Thanks!
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] is the first name that popped into my head. [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] or [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]
I love [name_f]Esther[/name_f] and [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] by the way so pretty and classic. I think may prefer [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] because I love the nn [name_f]Lucy[/name_f] but either name is a winner.
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is gorgeous! That one gets my vote; I think it goes really well with [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].
As far as [name_f]Esther[/name_f] goes, I think [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] both sound really nice. I’d avoid [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] if you really want to use [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] in the future, though. More ideas:
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] is beautiful. Some other ideas:
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Talitha[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Viola[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Primrose[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Zarina[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] has never really grown on me (I find it cold and severe), but [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] is lovely and I think it complements [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] really nicely. [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f] works, as does [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] if you’d consider going that way.
I do think [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Lucienne[/name_f] works well as a combo, if you decide to go with [name_f]Esther[/name_f], though I agree that it would rule out using [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] in the future.
I absolutely [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] [name_f]Esther[/name_f] and in my view it sits better alongside [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]. [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] feels a bit too light, bouncy and exotic, while [name_f]Esther[/name_f] matches the quiet elegance and refinement of [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] for me.
[name_u]Love[/name_u] the suggestion of [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f]. If you’d be keen to use [name_f]Lucia[/name_f] for a future daughter though, how about [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f]?
[name_m]How[/name_m] would you pronounce [name_f]Lucia[/name_f]? Loo-see-a [name_f]Claire[/name_f] is nice; Loo-chee-a [name_f]Claire[/name_f] doesn’t sound right to me.
Not a huge fan of [name_f]Esther[/name_f], it’s quite harsh-sounding to me and not as pretty as your other DD’s name
[name_f]Lucia[/name_f] would be pronounced loo-SEE-a. I have heard opinions across the board about [name_f]Esther[/name_f] and just have to accept some won’t like it and some will as with all names! I do see what you mean in a sense. Maybe that’s why I am looking for a frillier middle name so to give it a bit of lightness. Lol it’s so hard to decide!
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Lucille[/name_f] and [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] are both pretty, but I am afraid to pair two “old” names together. I feel like the middle name should be a bit fresher if that makes any sense? Such a hard decision!
