My first boy is [name]Ethan[/name] and my second boy is on the way in the next few days.
We still couldn’t decide on the name yet (middle name is [name]Kai[/name], last name starts with Y)
We both like [name]Ivan[/name], both sound and meaning but concern the “[name]Ivan[/name] the Terrible” effects.
We tentatively settle for [name]Dylan[/name]; initial becomes DKY
We have close relative who named their sons, [name]Steve[/name], [name]Ashton[/name], [name]Jayden[/name] and [name]William[/name]. So, choosing the same name is very unlikely.
Thanks in advance for your input and suggestions. Have a wonderful day!
Best regards,
[name]Kevin[/name] & [name]Mandy[/name]
P.S. The name we have a look at but didn’t click: [name]Aiden[/name], [name]Alden[/name], [name]Mason[/name], [name]Logan[/name], [name]Nathan[/name] and [name]Brandon[/name].
I agree with you about Ivan. Plus Ivan Kai sounds off with the repeating “I” sound
What about…
Evan
Owen
Asher
Grayson
Tristan
Emmett
Declan
Keiran
Aaron
Austin
Nolan
Jackson
Gavin
Benjamin
Noah
Holden
Hudson
Griffin
Jameson
Weston
The first names I thought of instead of [name]Ivan[/name] were [name]Owen[/name], and [name]Ivo[/name]. I like the suggestion of [name]Grant[/name] too. Also, what about using [name]Kai[/name] as the fn? I think it works well with [name]Ethan[/name]. [name]Kai[/name] [name]Felix[/name] Y__, [name]Kai[/name] [name]William[/name] Y__, etc. I’m not a fan of [name]Dylan[/name], but [name]Ethan[/name] and [name]Dylan[/name] are okay together.
I also like the suggestion of [name]Evan[/name] and [name]Owen[/name] for them. [name]Ivan[/name] is nice, but I really like [name]Nathan[/name], it’s beautiful.
[name]Ethan[/name] and [name]Evan[/name] are too matchy imo but I like [name]Ethan[/name] & [name]Owen[/name] or [name]Ethan[/name] and [name]Nathan[/name]
If you like [name]Ivan[/name] (Russian form of [name]John[/name]) what about [name]Ian[/name] (Scottish form of [name]John[/name]) -it has a similar sound without repeating the I of [name]Kai[/name] and has the same meaning as [name]Ivan[/name] with out “the terrible” connotations.
