Please rank our final names- only a few weeks to go!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all,

We have narrowed our list down, with just 5 weeks to go. [name_u]Baby[/name_u] girl will join big brother [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u].

Please rank the names, I’ve listed them in alphabetical order. We appreciate your feedback (nothing is too harsh for us!).

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]

favorite to least favorite -

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f], although I slightly prefer [name_f]Claire[/name_f]/[name_u]Clare[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]

I love almost all of them!

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you want future kids? This is my favorite probably- but just consider how you’ll feel having two A’s- and if you want a third- will it make you feel any pressure to do another A?
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - Outdated to me- but that might just be me.
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] this one! Second choice.
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - One of my good friends loves his name- and I don’t get the appeal- but I know a lot of Moms are liking it right now.
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]- My third choice. I love this one too.
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]- I’m personally not huge on [name_f]Miranda[/name_f].
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]- I think [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]'s a great name- but it is a little popular for my taste. Maybe just in my part of the country.
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]- I know a lot of Moms love [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]- but since it got really popular for dogs- I love it less these days.
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - I don’t like [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] with [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] personally.

HTH! I vote [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f], or [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]!

And also going to second the above poster- I love [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] best

The order I like them:

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] ([name_u]Sloane[/name_u] is quite unpopular on NB, but I genuinely like it. I think of a very put-together, high speed woman when I hear it. Go for ittt)
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]

I think [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], [name_f]Clara[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] work best with [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and all three names are lovely and work and flow well with [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]. Of your list, the only one I don’t think works at all is [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] as I think it’s of a completely different style to both [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]. I also find both [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] and [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] to be very dated, especially alongside middle [name_f]Jolene[/name_f].

If I had to choose one: [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] & [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f].

[name_m]Favorite[/name_m] to least favorite:

[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]-it really reminds me of the type of toilet I’m sorry just I [name_f]DO[/name_f] NOT RECCOMEND IT!

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps! Good [name_m]Luck[/name_m]!

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f]–this little beauty and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] tie for first with me. I like both with [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and with [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] and I also love them for themselves and the images they inspire of sweet little girl, beautiful teen, gracious womanhood

[name_f]Clara[/name_f]–see above

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u]–I like spunky, happy [name_u]Ruby[/name_u], I think it goes well with [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]. I think it seems alright with [name_m]Asher[/name_m]. I’m just not as big a fan of it as the first two.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]–[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] Hepburn is one of my favorite actresses and so her name always makes me think of cool grace, soulful eyes, and what vulnerability, and yet enduring strength, there is in womanhood. The reason it’s not higher is that I don’t feel like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] fit, stylewise and I’m not sure [name_m]Asher[/name_m] is working as brother to [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] for me. It could for you though!

[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]–I like [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] pretty well and think it works fine with [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]. But I never, never can get away from the phrase [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] rights when I hear it. It’s still a decent choice

[name_u]Sloane[/name_u]–would have been much higher, I love the name itself, I truly do, but it just doesn’t sound right to my ear with [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]. Since you seem to be set on [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] for a middle, I wouldn’t recommend.

[name_f]Sadie[/name_f]–is cute, not anything really bad about it…just not as colorful and bright as [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]/[name_f]Clara[/name_f]/[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] to me. And my mom’s dog is [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]…so, a no for me.

[name_f]Autumn[/name_f]–I think I just don’t like the repeated “n” sound of [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f], for one thing. For another, [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] doesn’t seem to age as well as some of your other choices. I can’t imagine it on a woman, as sweet as it is on a girl.

[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]-- I just don’t like this name. I don’t have a reason I can really point to. It’s just not my thing and we have the ending ‘n’ sound again with this one and it just doesn’t sound right to my ears.

Congrats, hope we help! I’m sure whatever choice you make will be perfect

I don’t think the names [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] (though it’s a personally favorite of mine) [name_f]Miranda[/name_f], (too … 80’s for me, idk) [name_f]Corrine[/name_f] (just sounds harsh with) go with brothers name at all, they all just clash with it I think.

I just can’t seem to get behind [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] as a name at all. I am absolutely not a fan. Same with [name_f]Eliza[/name_f].

[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] is adorable and sounds great with siblings name. Nothing against this at all. I think the same of [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], great name. [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] just sounds gorgeous and I think the two A names would be cute together.

So my top pick is [name_m]Asher[/name_m] + - [name_f]Clara[/name_f] - It’s a timeless, gorgeous, never trendy but always trendy sounding. It’s a gorgeous name and sounds and fits perfect with brothers name [name_f]IMO[/name_f]. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] sounds great.

[name_u]Ashton[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] and…
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]

As you’re set on [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] as the middle, I would eliminate all first names ending in a -n sound, they seem very heavy, so [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], [name_f]Corrine[/name_f] and [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] are gone.
Because your son’s name ends in an -er sound, I would then eliminate all first names ending in -a, so [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] are gone. This is my main rule for siblings, but feel free to disagree. I also think the 3 syllables of [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] and [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] really don’t flow with [name_m]Asher[/name_m].
That leaves [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] and [name_f]Sadie[/name_f].
Seeing as you already have an AJ, plus I don’t think the styles match, I would drop [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].
Finishing in close second, as your sons names is heavy on s’s - a[name_f]Sher[/name_f] jameS - I would drop [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]. But it’s a very sweet name!
So for me, [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] is the winner! Super cute, and paired well with [name_m]Asher[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]!

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]

I like [name_f]Claire[/name_f] or [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - Too close to [name_m]Asher[/name_m]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] is too dated
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - A little L heavy but it’s nice. [name_f]Cara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] would be another option.
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - [name_f]Corinne[/name_f] isn’t bad, maybe a bit dated, but I’m not sure what to do with [name_f]Corrine[/name_f]. I think pronunciation will be an issue and it clashes with [name_f]Jolene[/name_f].
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - A little heavy with [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] but nice overall. [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is a sweet name.
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is too dated and sounds weird with [name_m]Asher[/name_m].
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - The 2-2 syllables of this is kind of sing-songy but I like it overall anyway.
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - Sorry, but [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] has always been a dog’s name to me, despite its popularity.
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] - I don’t mind [name_u]Sloane[/name_u], but it doesn’t fit with [name_f]Jolene[/name_f].

My top picks: [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] and [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]. These two seem to really check all the boxes and are quite lovely combos.

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]

[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is a perfect fit with [name_m]Asher[/name_m], just the sound of them together, [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] makes my heart jump with joy.

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is definitely the next best option, [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] also sound beautiful together.

[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] really doesn’t work, too ‘rhymey’.

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]

[name_m]Favorite[/name_m] to least favorite:

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]

I don’t really care for any of the following:
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] (I don’t like [name_m]Asher[/name_m] + [name_f]Audrey[/name_f])
[name_f]Autumn[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] (See above)
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] (Too rhymey)
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] (Not a big [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] fan)
[name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] (Unpopular opinion: I really dislike [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]! I’m so sorry!)
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] ([name_u]Sloane[/name_u] sounds like a ton of bricks to me. Again, so sorry! :/)

I love [name_f]Clara[/name_f] & [name_f]Eliza[/name_f]!

[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] is a great choice too, but I would avoid using A in case you have other children

My favorites from your list:
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]

#1 [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
#2 [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
#3 [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
#4 [name_f]Sadie[/name_f] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]
#5 [name_u]Ruby[/name_u] [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]

I like all your firsts and many go well with [name_m]Asher[/name_m] OR well with [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]. These top 5 are the ones I feel go well with BOTH [name_m]Asher[/name_m] and [name_f]Jolene[/name_f]. Best of luck!
