Please vote! Brother to Jones

Pregnant with my second son and my husband and I each have different top names! Our first son is [name_m]Jones[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m]. I’d like the middle name to be [name_m]James[/name_m] but open to other options.

Option 1: [name_m]Bodie[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m]
Option 2: [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m]

Is [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] too similar to [name_m]Jones[/name_m]? Too matchy matchy??

I would love some short middle name suggestions to go with [name_m]Jettson[/name_m].

If anyone has any boy names that maybe combine our name styles (Jones/Bodie/Jettson), I would love to hear them!

[name_f]My[/name_f] main naming style criteria is effortless, cool, and approachable. Thank you guys so much!!! Hoping some fresh eyes can help us! :blue_heart:

I would definitely go with just “Jett” !!! [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] is ok! but [name_m]Jett[/name_m] is really slick and matches [name_m]Jones[/name_m] with the one syllable.

Maybe [name_m]Jett[/name_m] [name_m]Jameson[/name_m]?

I like the idea of [name_m]Jett[/name_m] on its own, would be a super cool name with big brother [name_m]Jones[/name_m]! [name_m]Jett[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] sounds nice

I do like [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] with [name_m]Jones[/name_m], even though they are slightly matchy. To me [name_m]Jones[/name_m] and [name_m]Bodie[/name_m] don’t quite fit as well together. If you do go with [name_m]Jettson[/name_m], I would definitely call him [name_m]Jett[/name_m], [name_m]Jett[/name_m] and [name_m]Jones[/name_m] are a pretty awesome sounding duo. The only thing with [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] it that combined with [name_m]Jones[/name_m] it makes for a lot of J sounds which might sound a little awkward but that’s not an issue if you end up with a different middle.

Some middle ideas:
[name_f]Rain[/name_f]
[name_f]Shea[/name_f]
[name_m]Shep[/name_m]
[name_m]Arlo[/name_m]
[name_m]Louis[/name_m]
[name_m]Hayes[/name_m]

I agree with the other comments about just using the name [name_m]Jett[/name_m], it does sound effortless, approachable and cool. And in my opinion it suits the older brother [name_m]Jones[/name_m]. [name_m]Jett[/name_m] and [name_m]Jones[/name_m].

You could go with an M name as the middle if it’s too many “J’s”

[name_m]Jones[/name_m] [name_m]Michael[/name_m] +

[name_m]Jett[/name_m] [name_m]Maxwell[/name_m]
[name_m]Jett[/name_m] [name_m]Martin[/name_m]
[name_m]Jett[/name_m] [name_m]Myles[/name_m]

For my personal preference I wouldn’t use [name_m]Bodie[/name_m] but just because I don’t like the word “die” inside any name.

I think [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] works great with [name_m]Jones[/name_m].
[name_m]Bodie[/name_m] is cute, but I feel like it’s a misspelled version to [name_m]Brodie[/name_m]?

Other ideas:
[name_m]Jefferson[/name_m]
[name_m]Benson[/name_m]
[name_m]Bowden[/name_m]
[name_m]Bryson[/name_m]
[name_m]Boone[/name_m]
[name_m]Broderick[/name_m] nn [name_m]Brody[/name_m]

I prefer [name_m]Bodie[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m]! Cool but gentle!

[name_m]Jettson[/name_m] and [name_m]Jones[/name_m] are a bit matchy but I think it could work.

Some middle names for [name_m]Jettson[/name_m]: [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] [name_m]Luke[/name_m], [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] [name_m]Reid[/name_m], [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] [name_m]Tate[/name_m], [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] [name_m]Reid[/name_m], [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] [name_m]Dean[/name_m]

I prefer [name_m]Bodie[/name_m], as I feel like [name_m]Jones[/name_m] and [name_m]Jettson[/name_m] are a bit too similar (and if you had a 3rd boy, would be so hard to find a name that “fit” that patter (starts with J, strong S, O, N sounds, contains letter E).

Would you consider spelling [name_m]Bodie[/name_m] as [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m]? I think [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] is more common, but nothing wrong with [name_m]Bodie[/name_m], [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] just looks more like a complete name to me and I feel like it fits [name_m]Jones[/name_m] better than [name_m]Bodie[/name_m]. [name_m]Jones[/name_m] & [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m] instead of [name_m]Jones[/name_m] & [name_m]Bodie[/name_m]. Maybe just me, but I prefer [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m], especially for you.

I think [name_m]Jett[/name_m] and [name_m]Jones[/name_m] make a stellar brother set.

I think name that combine your styles could be

[name_m]Pierce[/name_m]
[name_m]Reid[/name_m]
Hawkley
[name_m]Mack[/name_m]
[name_m]Davis[/name_m]
[name_m]Trent[/name_m]

[name_m]Bodie[/name_m] [name_m]James[/name_m] is my favorite!
