Poet, Story, Fable

WDYT of these names? I think they are kind of cute.

I don’t like them at all…

[name_f]Posey[/name_f], [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] and [name_f]Faye[/name_f] are all fine. They could be nicknamed [name_f]Poet[/name_f], [name_u]Story[/name_u] and [name_u]Fable[/name_u]. In general, I think word names should stay in nickname territory.

I agree with Renrose. Out of all of them, I like [name_u]Fable[/name_u] best.

I love to read and write, so I thought they might be a good middle name option…

Word names are my guilty pleasure, but I don’t think they’re actually usable except perhaps as a middle name or nickname. [name_u]Story[/name_u] is one of my favorites, but like I said, I wouldn’t use it personally.

I adore all three of them, but more so in the middle. Of the three, I think [name_u]Story[/name_u] is my favorite as a first, but even then I prefer it as a nickname for [name_f]Astoria[/name_f]. I think they’re wonderful as middle name options, for boys or girls. All three have been considered for our family, and will continue to be considered as we get closer to actually having children.

I think any of them would be fine as firsts, as long as the other two weren’t used. [name_u]Story[/name_u] is definitely my favorite. As middle names, I think they’d be beautiful, meaningful names, they would provide a connection between the siblings.

I find them all pretty wearable and sweet, especially [name_u]Fable[/name_u] and [name_u]Story[/name_u].

[name_u]Fable[/name_u] sounds most usable as a fn.

I really do love them all! I can’t say anything about how usable they are in real life, I’ve never met anyone with any of those names… But I personally think they could work. It’s been done before. I especially love [name_f]Poet[/name_f]. [name_u]Poe[/name_u] is soooo cute!! And [name_u]Fable[/name_u] nn [name_f]Faye[/name_f] is darling too! Such sweet names:)

I think they are better in the middle slot. The only name I like that goes along with those names is [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f], but even then, it would only be a part of a double-barreled name or as a middle name.

I love these names and others like them as middles, love the quirky and spunky vibe they give off. I also love Myth, [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f], and [name_u]Lyric[/name_u], and Anthology and Epithet are GPs for me. But I think they’re a bit odd as firsts, they are words after all. [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] nn [name_u]Story[/name_u] is a totally usable first though!

They make terrific middle names, yes. First names, not so much.

I love all three, along with [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f] and [name_u]Lyric[/name_u]! I would use them in a heartbeat if husband would allow. We have [name_u]Fable[/name_u] on our boys’ list as a middle name for [name_m]Solomon[/name_m]. I would be pushing for [name_u]Story[/name_u] as a nn for [name_f]Astoria[/name_f] if we didn’t live very near a town by that name. I’ve also considered [name_u]Story[/name_u] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f]…I think it’s a great balance of whimsy and “normal.” If I met three little girls name [name_u]Story[/name_u], [name_f]Poet[/name_f], and [name_u]Fable[/name_u], I might just die of happiness!!

I’m not a fan of [name_u]Story[/name_u] or [name_f]Poet[/name_f], but I do think [name_u]Fable[/name_u] would make a cool middle name. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] [name_u]Fable[/name_u], for example, is adorable!

Lots of love for these names! I agree with Sessha that [name_u]Lyric[/name_u] and [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f] are also awesome choices, although for some reason I always picture [name_u]Lyric[/name_u] on a boy. I think any of them would be great unisex names as firsts or middles

I absolutely adore them! Same with [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f] (in my signature). They’re all in my Top 20 list. Most if my names (mainly girls) are word or nature name.

Ditto…

[name_f]Love[/name_f] all three. My younger daughter’s name is [name_f]Poet[/name_f]. Cutesy as it is, I would secretly love to meet a sibset with these. [name_f]Sonnet[/name_f], Psalm, [name_f]Poem[/name_f], [name_m]Baird[/name_m], [name_m]Bard[/name_m], and [name_u]Page[/name_u] are other names in this vein.
