I may be slightly biased but I think the way I spell it looks nicer

All the people I know with this name in full spell it [name_u]Abbey[/name_u], like [name_u]Abbey[/name_u] Road. I personally think this looks complete on its own! I would assume both [name_u]Abby[/name_u] and [name_u]Abbie[/name_u] were short for [name_f]Abigail[/name_f]

[name_u]Abby[/name_u] looks sleeker to me

I prefer the look of [name_u]Abbie[/name_u] but I think both can totally stand on their own and [name_u]Abby[/name_u] would most likely be people’s default spelling!

[name_f]My[/name_f] childhood best friend and my high school best friend are both Abigails - one goes by [name_u]Abby[/name_u] the other [name_u]Abbie[/name_u] and I think both versions are lovely. [name_u]Abby[/name_u] to me seems more classic feminine whereas [name_u]Abbie[/name_u] seems a bit more modern and spunky - both sweet and I think either would work as a full name.
