[name]Rollo[/name],
Here are my comments on Miss [name]Chloe[/name] [name]Skye[/name]'s baby sister’s name…
[name]Imogen[/name] - Whereas [name]Chloe[/name] is fun and spunky, easily feminine yet not too frilly, [name]Imogen[/name] seems comparably bland. [name]Imogen[/name] - even when you say it - doesn’t sound so fun, frivolous, playful, and sweet. [name]Chloe[/name] and [name]Imogen[/name] do sound good together, but they convey such different images for me that I’m not sold…
SUGGESTION - For a name with [name]Imogen[/name]'s vintage feel and no-nonsense sound, try [name]Iris[/name]! [name]Iris[/name] is very vintage and romantic, yet it also feels fresh and fun with its connection to nature and rainbows and all that is beautiful and sweet in our world!
[name]Evangeline[/name] - Oh, I love [name]Evangeline[/name]! [name]Evangeline[/name] is glamorous and elegant, statuesque and romantic. She is sophisticated and feminine, confident and chic. I’m not sure [name]Chloe[/name] really exudes this image - as [name]Chloe[/name] is comparably youthful, playful, naive, and cherubic - but the pair is nice.
SUGGESTION - Instead of the romantic, feminine, sophisticate that is [name]Evangeline[/name], why not try [name]Eva[/name]? [name]Eva[/name] [EE-vah or A-vah] is everything that [name]Evangeline[/name] is, but with an added spunk and playful quality that matches that found in [name]Chloe[/name].
[name]Paige[/name] - Well, [name]Chloe[/name] and [name]Paige[/name] seems about as natural a choice as there is on this list! [name]Paige[/name] is feminine and sweet without being too frilly, just like [name]Chloe[/name]. [name]Paige[/name] is adventurous, bold, confident, and playful, like [name]Chloe[/name]. And, [name]Paige[/name] is relatively popular, again, like [name]Chloe[/name]! My only issue is that mommy-to-be seems to like more vintage and whimsical names - does [name]Paige[/name] really fit the bill?
SUGGESTION - Instead of [name]Paige[/name], why not try [name]Faye[/name], a name with just as much simple sophistication as [name]Paige[/name] but a touch more whimsy. [name]Faye[/name] reminds me of fairies - see its meaning - and sugarplums, of sweet little girls dressed in princess dresses. [name]Faye[/name] is vintage and sweet, but has an elegance about it that [name]Paige[/name] lacks. [name]Chloe[/name] and [name]Faye[/name]? I think it could work…
[name]Matilda[/name] - This seems far too vintage to be paired with [name]Chloe[/name], to be perfectly honest. I’m not a huge [name]Matilda[/name] fan - though it seems most of NB is - so perhaps I’m biased in saying [name]Matilda[/name] feels old to me, especially when paired with [name]Chloe[/name]. Now, if [name]Matilda[/name]'s sister were, say, [name]Eloise[/name], we might have a fresh vintage pair ready for a comeback.
SUGGESTION - Instead of the vintage [name]Matilda[/name], which makes [name]Chloe[/name] seem out of place in my opinion, why not [name]Maris[/name]? [name]Maris[/name] - meaning “of the sea” - has a fresh, natural meaning and a fun, playful, modern sound. Like [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Maris[/name] has an understated feminine quality and elegant, rich feel that allows room for adventure and sass. [name]Chloe[/name] and [name]Maris[/name] seem to fit the bill - they bring out the best in each other!
[name]Gemma[/name] - Like [name]Paige[/name], [name]Gemma[/name] seems to fit the bill best out of this list for [name]Chloe[/name]'s sister. The name sounds modern, fun, and semi-popular. [name]Gemma[/name] has much more girl power than I personally think [name]Chloe[/name] does, but they pair very nicely together! My only issue with [name]Gemma[/name] is that it looks like [GHEM-ah] - indeed, I knew a girl who pronounced the name this way! It also seems like a blatant updating of the 90s favorite, [name]Jenna[/name], or a way to dress up the uber-popular [name]Emma[/name]…
SUGGESTION - Though [name]Gemma[/name] is very sweet with Miss [name]Chloe[/name], why not switch it up to something elegant and adorable like [name]Giselle[/name]? [name]Giselle[/name] comes with the model association of Miss Bundchen, but the name is just as lovely as she is, in my opinion. Sophisticated and feminine, but loose and fun, the name has a fresh, modern appeal that really brings out the feminine side of [name]Chloe[/name]. Plus, you get sweet nicknames like [name]Gigi[/name] and [name]Elle[/name]!
[name]Tahlia[/name] - [name]Chloe[/name] does pair nicely with [name]Tahlia[/name], but this spelling makes me nervous. It looks like [name]Dahlia[/name] with the D switched to a T, literally! And, I don’t care for [name]Dahlia[/name] considering the negative connotation of [name]Black[/name] [name]Dahlia[/name]. Why not use [name]Talia[/name] or [name]Thalia[/name] instead? My issue is that some people might call her [name]Tally[/name], which reminds me of those little lines - “tally marks.” [name]Talia[/name] feels more feminine than [name]Chloe[/name], for sure, and it is definitely less popular, but they still work fairly well…
SUGGESTION - Why not up the unique factor and tone down the feminine flair with [name]Tamsin[/name]? Yes, [name]Talia[/name] and [name]Tamsin[/name] start with the same sound, but [name]Tamsin[/name] feels flirty and fresh, fun and fabulous, especially with [name]Chloe[/name]! Now, as long as you don’t call her [name]Tammy[/name] - which shouldn’t be too hard, right? - you’ll be good to go!
[name]Talitha[/name] - Is this a misspelled [name]Tabitha[/name]? I’ve never heard of this name! I can’t really comment besides the fact that, if this is a name, it seems too unusual with [name]Chloe[/name] in my opinion. If it is [name]Tabitha[/name], like [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Tabitha[/name] feels far too vintage to match [name]Chloe[/name].
SUGGESTION - What about [name]Tess[/name]? [name]Tess[/name] is simple and sweet, fun and adventurous, feminine and sophisticated. [name]Tess[/name] might feel too “boyish,” but I think it works as is. If you are worried though, try [name]Tessa[/name] instead…
[name]Arabella[/name] - Though I love [name]Arabella[/name], it is far - far, far, far! - too feminine and frilly to match [name]Chloe[/name], hands down! [name]Arabella[/name] is a princess, spoiled and beautiful, confident and proud. [name]Chloe[/name] is an adventurous girl ready to go run around and get dirty, curious and intelligent, friendly and sweet. They are just so different!
SUGGESTION - What about toning down the feminine factor by a touch and upping the ante when it comes to uniqueness with [name]Aria[/name]? [name]Chloe[/name] and [name]Aria[/name] are both feminine without being too frilly, and they both feel modern, fresh, and cool.
[name]Elise[/name] - Well, [name]Elyse[/name] is my middle name, so I should be happy to see this one! And, surprisingly, I am! [name]Chloe[/name] and [name]Elise[/name] feel pretty different to me, but they work. Whereas [name]Chloe[/name] is the spunky, curious, adventuresome girl I described above - well, who knows if she really is! - [name]Elise[/name] is much more delicate, pale, reserved, and shy. Though very intelligent and friendly, it takes a bit more for [name]Elise[/name] to break out of her shell. Unlike the confident, spunky, glowing [name]Chloe[/name], [name]Elise[/name] is a bit of a porcelain doll for me. Doesn’t mean they can’t work. Opposites attract, right?
SUGGESTION - If [name]Elise[/name] is too much like a porcelain doll for the sassy [name]Chloe[/name]'s sister, maybe [name]Elea[/name] would work? [name]Elea[/name] is fun, feminine, chic, and confident without losing her sophisticated, elegant image! Perfect combination of [name]Elise[/name] and [name]Chloe[/name] in my book…
[name]Alyssa[/name] - [name]Alyssa[/name] feels very dated to me - think [name]Alyssa[/name] [name]Milano[/name] - so I don’t feel like it works as well as others with the modern, fun [name]Chloe[/name]!
SUGGESTION - Why not use Alannis instead? It feels fresh and modern despite the connection to the singer - who is pretty cool herself, right? - and I love the sound of [name]Chloe[/name] and Alannis!
[name]Xanthe[/name] - Wow! [name]Xanthe[/name]? I mean, it is a darn cool mythological name, but I think it is far too out-there for [name]Chloe[/name]'s sister, to be perfectly honest. I mean, [name]Chloe[/name] is pretty popular, but I bet there are very few [name]Xanthe[/name]'s in this world! I can’t recommend this one, unfortunately, as it just doesn’t feel name-like enough to really work well…
SUGGESTION - What about toning down the uniqueness of the name with a still-relatively-unpopular choice like [name]Zara[/name]? It is a form of [name]Sarah[/name], so it has that darling “princess” meaning, but it doesn’t feel like you’ve met bunches of them. [name]Zara[/name] has a cool, modern, sophisticated sound that balances the soft sound of [name]Chloe[/name] quite well in my opinion!
So, it seems that my favorites for [name]Chloe[/name]'s sister off this list were [name]Paige[/name] and [name]Gemma[/name], foremost, with [name]Tahlia[/name] ([name]Thalia[/name] or [name]Talia[/name]) and [name]Elise[/name] heading up the rear. If I had to pick a favorite off that list, it would be [name]Paige[/name], for sure. I don’t love [name]Paige[/name] with any of the middle name options, though…
[name]Paige[/name] [name]Rosaleen[/name]
[name]Gemma[/name] [name]Fern[/name]
[name]Talia[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Elise[/name] [name]Ruby[/name]
Well, surprisingly, [name]Gemma[/name] [name]Fern[/name] and [name]Talia[/name] [name]Rose[/name] are my picks off of that list, but I do love [name]Paige[/name] [name]Rosaleen[/name] with a shorter (two-syllable) last name, like [name]Paige[/name] [name]Rosaleen[/name] [name]Cooper[/name]…
Of MY suggestions, my favorites - well, that’s tough! - are [name]Iris[/name], [name]Maris[/name], [name]Tamsin[/name], and [name]Zara[/name]. But, I’ll middle name them all, for your perusal, mommy-to-be!
[name]Iris[/name] [name]Fern[/name] - [name]Iris[/name] [name]Cate[/name]
[name]Eva[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - [name]Eva[/name] [name]Reese[/name]
[name]Faye[/name] [name]Ruby[/name] - [name]Faye[/name] [name]Marie[/name]
[name]Maris[/name] [name]Fern[/name] - [name]Maris[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
[name]Giselle[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - [name]Giselle[/name] [name]Fleur[/name]
[name]Tamsin[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - [name]Tamsin[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]
[name]Tess/name [name]Ruby[/name] - [name]Tess/name [name]Corinne[/name]
[name]Aria[/name] [name]Lily[/name] - [name]Aria[/name] [name]June[/name]
[name]Elea[/name] [name]Fern[/name] - [name]Elea[/name] [name]Blair[/name]
Alannis [name]Rose[/name] - Alannis [name]Irene[/name]
[name]Zara[/name] [name]Lily[/name] - [name]Zara[/name] [name]Tegan[/name]
Take care! Good luck to your family, [name]Rollo[/name]!
