Poll: Considering the name Audra

I’ve been liking the name Audra, and would consider it for our third baby. However, our last name is similar to Trueman, and I’m worried it’s too weird to say with the Rs. Thoughts?

  • It’s fine, I like it!
  • Too awkward to say-- pick a different first name.

Firstly beautiful name choice, it’s uncommon and a beautiful name to say and see.
I think it sounds fine. It doesn’t sound awkward to say in my opinion (FYI I am [name_f]English[/name_f] speaking and from Australia)

[name_f]Audra[/name_f] is a really pretty name! I don’t think it’s a tongue teaser with that last name.

I like [name_f]Audra[/name_f]!

It is clunky when I say it.
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] [name_m]Trueman[/name_m] is a LOT easier to say.

I like it, but I’m not sure how to pronounce it

@missLis It’s said “aww-druh” if that’s what you mean :slight_smile:

I think it’s a really good name!

I voted for yes, but in my southern US dialect, I do get a little tongue tied saying [name_f]Audra[/name_f] [name_m]Truman[/name_m], BUT [name_f]Audra[/name_f] is a lovely name and it may be of no issue where are from!
