i prefer [name_m]Erik[/name_m]. I dont really have a reason other then i like the way it looks better.

I prefer [name_m]Eric[/name_m].

I prefer [name_m]Eric[/name_m]. [name_m]Erik[/name_m] just doesn’t look appealing to me.

I like [name_m]Erik[/name_m] more. I dated an [name_m]Erik[/name_m] for awhile. The spelling always stuck with me. It just seemed cooler and edgier than the C spelling I was used to seeing. It’s odd because it’s just a letter change but he’s more of an [name_m]Erik[/name_m] than an [name_m]Eric[/name_m] to me, haha.
I’ve liked this spelling more since then.

found a youtube video about how Erics are sweet, good guys,
but [name_m]Eriks[/name_m] are bad guys :frowning: seriously?

I prefer [name_m]Eric[/name_m].

Well, there was [name_m]Erik[/name_m] from Phantom of the [name_f]Opera[/name_f] and Magneto from X-men did take the name [name_m]Erik[/name_m] too. I like the characters, so it doesn’t bother me. Of course, I’m sure since it’s the Scandinavian spelling there are a lot of nice, Scandinavian [name_m]Eriks[/name_m] out there. I go back and forth on which spelling would be easier for a future kid, but I just love the [name_m]Erik[/name_m] spelling so I just can’t let it go.

Funny - I have a friend named [name_m]Eric[/name_m], a nephew (that is in his 30’s) named [name_m]Erik[/name_m] and an employee named [name_m]Erick[/name_m]. I have to look them up each time to remember who has what.

I actually kinda like the [name_m]Erick[/name_m] spelling - it seems more complete to me. I guess since it actually spells [name_m]Rick[/name_m]…

If I had 2 choose between [name_m]Erik[/name_m] and [name_m]Eric[/name_m], I would pick [name_m]Eric[/name_m].

Good luck!

That’s funny. I’ve known a couple of Erics, an [name_m]Erick[/name_m], and an [name_m]Erik[/name_m]. All of them were nice, decent, family guys. The [name_m]Erik[/name_m] is definitely more “ballsy” if you will, but I wouldn’t call him a “bad guy” (or even a “bad boy”). I thought the K spelling was a bit strange at first, but it has grown on me and now I think it’s more memorable than [name_m]Eric[/name_m]. I don’t like the [name_m]Erick[/name_m] spelling at all. I always wonder if the parents couldn’t decide between the C and the K so they decided to use both!

I meant to vote for [name_m]Eric[/name_m] and accidentally hit other. So one of those votes should be on [name_m]Eric[/name_m].

Definitely [name_m]Erik[/name_m]!!

[name_m]Eric[/name_m] seems more classic, while [name_m]Erik[/name_m] more edgy.
But I like the nod Erik brings to DH’s scandanavian roots.

I’m going to go ahead and throw my boyfriend’s name, Erich, into the mix. It’s the German form of Eric according to behinf the name. I agree with a previous poster, that I couldn’t picture him as an Eric, or Erik.

I think the h at the end makes it look a little more complete without the harder looking k.

However, if I had to chose between Eric or Erik, I would chose Eric.

oh, I never even thought of [name_m]Erich[/name_m]. I like it.
