I’ve always loved the romantic sound of the -ara suffix. Please pick your faves - I’ve deliberately omitted Cara/Kara, Dara, Sara, Lara and Elara from this list. Also, can anyone suggest some less usual, diverse or creative -ara names not listed here?

I voted [name_f]Samara[/name_f], [name_f]Amara[/name_f], and [name_f]Clara[/name_f], but wish I could have voted for [name_f]Mara[/name_f], [name_f]Zara[/name_f], [name_f]Xiomara[/name_f], and [name_f]Yara[/name_f], too!

Two other lovely -ara names I’ve heard of are [name_f]Kinvara[/name_f] and [name_u]Kamara[/name_u]!

Lots of these are lovely, but I especially love [name_f]Clara[/name_f], [name_f]Zara[/name_f] and Amara!!

I didn’t know Hara was a name :blush: I also forgot Lacramioara and I’ve been banging on about this name for days :woman_facepalming:. Also Inara, Zahara, Chara, Shara, Oshara, Ishara, Iara, Maricara, Marioara and Dilara / Delara.

Clara and Zara although I’d suggest Nara and Elara which I think is nice.
Chiara and Lamara, Imara, Lara, Honora maybe?
